1. Who is goalie today? Going w/ Holtby in such a key game makes me nervous.

2. Laich better freaking show up and redeem himself.

3. I am too nervous to watch the game.

4. I can't believe OTT pounded PIT last night. Of all the teams to finally deal the Pens a regulation defeat. Damn. I was hoping OTT was in even free-er freefall than we were. I guess Caps will have to earn this thing after all, instead of backing in along trail of loser points.

5. I am still in a funk over that collapse via Jets. Even if we do miraculously jump out to a 2- or 3-goal lead today, there is going to be the lurking doubt and panic. Plus the question of whether Hunter learns from his mistake.

6. The only halfway enjoyable sidelight to this game for me is whether #8 continues his torrid scoring streak.

In hindsight, I wish we had sent out PK unit in 3rd period versus Jets, plus Ovie or Semin parked on Jets' blueline, and just approach it as long PK, with 8/28 waiting for the clearing pass.

I bet we would have gotten our 4th goal before they got their 2nd.

Then again, Hunter may know more about hockey than I do. Even though it hasn't seemed like it lately.
