Just have to be patient. Keep playing like this and the goals will come. DH needs to install that mentality, no need to panic or start pushing harder if we don't score right away, just keep at it.

Too wide open. They need to tighten up defensively.

The same reason they have yet to scratch Carlson, I suppose.

Holtby saved our collective ***** in that period. C'mon boys repay the guy with 2 or 3 in this frame.

Too much IMHO. He's not gonna play 30 mins in the game, so we've just used up about half his ice time in the first 20 minutes. A promise of prevent D in the third.

Beside that, he's now being asked to do too much, which leads to mistakes like his awful turnover in the D zone that period.

Yes, he deserves more ice than he's been getting, but not all helter skelter. Put him out in situations where he can be successful. Don't ask to play checking shifts.

Keith Jones: "They don't look like a team fighting for the playoffs"

Pretty much my thoughts this entire stretch.

So dressing 7 D, an indirect way of benching Carlson?

No Pierre Joel Ward is not an important player for the team

edit Alzner and Wideman have no chemistry whatsoever

And that is why Ovy only has 24 assists this year.

Didn't happen. He was trying to control the puck with a Minn player trying to take it away from him it bounced forward but not something Wideman placed in front of the net.

No one is expecting passes with Ovi on the ice. They should.

Yeah, who expects passes from a guy who averages around 50 assists a year anyway?

OK- Still, behind the net that shouldn't happen.

Wideman does know why we're paying him, right? Shoot the ****ing puck.

Poor Ovechkin having to play with the rest of our forward group. What a phenomenal pass.
