It's sad to see that after a rough month (and still having his best season ever), everyone has turned him into the new person to bash.
It's all about the team, we will always love Tootoo. But there's no room for guys who aren't producing right now, way too much quality depth to justify Tootoo in the lineup with the way he's been playing.
Having Olczyk - who sees the Preds on a regular basis for the Blackhawks - is a huge boost. He's facilitating a lot of the discussion. Strader clearly doesn't know a whole lot about this team, and when he and Engblom called the Rangers game, it was all Rags, all the time. Prime example: at the top of the broadcast, perfunctory mention of the Erat scratch. No mention of the fact that the Predators are playing without their leading scorer.
I'll take that first period. Opportunistic offense and some solid defense and goaltending. Now we need to build on this lead in the second.
