Are any of you guys masters league on North America? If so, are you interested in playing on a Fewer Resources per Base map? I'm organizing a Masters & GM tourney with a few casters (possibly Orb, possibly DJWheat, definitely the less known Senex & Pull) with the intent of showcasing the potential of maps with 6 minerals per base rather than 8.
For more info on the benefits of Fewer Resources per Base (FRB) read this thread:
Ever since reading it, I've looked at both ladder and pro SC2 differently. Consider the Heart vs. Huk game on Entombed Valley from MLG today - Heart played for 16 minutes on one base and managed to beat Huk, despite not having particularly good control or decision making. It was just raw economic power of 1 base and a lot of production. With 6 mineral nodes per base, you get less economic power per base and thus the game's skillcap and multitasking improves. It also helps to diminish the Deathball syndrome where players can get on 2-3 bases and never move out until they have a maxed army. In general, the games are more exciting even at a lower level.
Check out the SC2 channel "7m" for games/obs on these maps, including a map that I created, "Jewel of the Desert".
LOL, something is wrong with that kid. He talks so much **** but hasn't played a 1v1 in almost a year.
Dude, you're that oblivious? Zeppelin is his smurf account where he just plays team games. He has 3 separate accounts for each race, his toss and terran are high master. His zerg is in GM, due to his insanely calculated spore timing builds.
He just says he has ladder anxiety so he doesnt have to play you and embarrass you, cuz then you'll never play SC again and he'd be down a team game partner.

LOL this makes so much sense. I remember playing with him when he was on his smurf account. He has a youtube video check it out.

Lmao. I like how he says he doesn't play 1s is because "he doesn't know builds." Yet he probably shakes like he has Parkinsons when he does a 1v1. It would be devastating to him to lose me as a team game partner. The only way he has all those portraits is because of me.
Kong = term used to describe someone who always places 2nd but wins minor events/show matches. Yellow was well known for always placing 2nd. Mkp was too. He won the arena of champions and the winter arena. This is his first major win.
Guys, please post in this thread in support of the idea. I'm helping to organize and produce the tournament, and am also securing additional talent in the form of notable players, casters, analysts and mapmakers. And I also got my Photoshop on for some graphic design, although the caster who created that thread decided to use his own graphics before I could finish mine.
If you have twitter, tweet at people like Doa, CatsPajamas, Apollo, DJWheat, Day9, etc... and request that they appear as a guest for one of the weekly tournament broadcasts. The more groundswell we get the more likely we are to bring in community figures.
It says I can't play because the video card is not accesible because no driver displays are installed, another 3D application has exclusive access or the machine is locked.
Usually you can go into control panel (assuming you're on a pc) find the hardware section and the go to your graphics card control panel. They have an "update drivers" option. If not, you'd have to go to the manufacturers website and download the latest drivers and install.
