Another reason why we need Q and E to play good

so we don't have to play Lids-White pairing a lot
Lids (for age)
White (a decent but not great top 4)

Kronwall - Stuart
Lids - White
Q - E

If they can get all equal ES and play competitive that would be great.

I'm pretty sure Franzen took over in the 3rd in terms of coaching.

I hope Flip hits 70 points. 64 points with six games left.

Good game.

So what are the chances that Nyquist actually sticks? He's pretty much on a point-per-game pace right now (7 points in 12 games; for a rookie that's pretty impressive, especially for one that's in his first year out of college no less), and he's got some good chemistry going with Datsyuk right now. I know the Wings are always steadfast when it comes to their vets, but it's becoming pretty hard to justify taking him out of the lineup. The likes of Holmstrom and Cleary surely have the drop on him due to seniority and what all, but he's definitely more productive than Emmerton, who's just as much of a rookie himself.

Guess we'll know for sure when Franzen comes back. As far as I'm concerned, he's done more than enough to earn his place, so hopefully Babs and I see eye to eye on this and he makes the right call.

The problem with Emmerton is that he plays center, which puts him a step ahead of guys like Nyquist and Mursak when it comes to the 4th line role. This especially rings true with the absence of Helm, which pretty much shuts down any idea of placing Abdelkader in the 4th line center slot.

Hudler's dive/embellishment right before Lidstrom's goal was pretty shameful. I'll never like that guy.

This game wasn't even fair. CBJ has terrible defense right now and a below average goaltender.

didn't see a replay of it but it looked to me like a pretty normal reaction to getting high sticked(which i'm not entirely sure is what happened)

Canucks fan here with a totally random quesiton: is it just me or do all your red wing players look like pirates?

Especially Zetterberg with that beard of his - he looks like a pirate captain. And Datsyuk totally got the face of a first mate.

I can see it now. Conklin holding a mop rather than a plunger - "Deck's swabbed!"
