I can't say that I really noticed this on TV much either. Pretty pathetic, but it was in the past, so it's probably best to move on and hope they don't gain the reputation that the Canes did years back.
we deserved to lose regardless of officiating. Maybe we can play harder when the game is on the line. And actually play like we care-then we wouldnt have about officiating.

i was fuming when this happened, and Nielsen is a Vet, and they usually dont pull this crap, and im amazed at how these guys think they can get away with this,oh well, look at it this way, we are atop OUR divison, islanders are not, we are in a solid playoff position they are not. nuff.
Again guys, sorry to disagree. Please note I don't give a **** about the Islanders.
The first one looks worse than it really is. His reaction is to being hit in the skate (on the upswing of the stick, not the downswing) rather than the arse. The reaction seems to be over the top, but to be fair he is struck in foot. In the full TV view, this is much easier to see. Also, notice that Weiss does not argue the call.
The second one I DO NOT know for certain, but i believe the player was hit with the puck in the mouth, just before Garrison came in with the legal hit. Nielson turns to shoot, hits Theodore in the pads and and the puck rebounds up, and back in his direction. I cannot physically see the puck hitting him in the mouth, but it is in the area. MOST IMPORTANTLY, Garrison can be heard saying to the ref "He got hit with a puck in the head". Im actually impressed with Garrison's reaction; he could have been FAR more animated and angry about the decision. He clearly looks confused and frustrated but doesnt go on a verbal tirade which would have been totally understandable. But on the CI replay, he can clearly be heard saying Neilson was hit with the puck.
