Taylor Hall's replacement. Also happens to be the second best Teemu on the ice.

We really need to hope Vancouver's standing is decided by late Saturday night and that game is meaningless for them as the Oilers visit them on HNIC at 10 PM ET to close it out.

It could very well come down to that game.

All goals in that game were scored by Teemu... and he outscored Selanne 2-1.

Yup getting either the 2nd or 3rd pick is fine by me and should net us a very good player.. Just hope we don't fall out of the top 3 now at this point..

3 games left 24 ROW

7th 1pts Carolina 31 ROW (win tie break)
6th 1pts Minnesota (24 ROW) + lose tie break vs habs (-46 vs -19) in goal difference
5th 2pts* Islanders 26 ROW + lose tie break vs habs (habs 5pts NYI 4)
4th 2pts Toronto 30 ROW (win tie break)
3rd 2pts Anaheim 30 ROW (win tie break)
2nd 6pts *Edmonton 27 ROW + lose tie break vs habs (-21 vs -19) in goal difference

great

a loss = a top 4 insured (winning the Islanders tie breaking)

One correction, it's actually 2 pts for us to ''eliminate'' Minnesota.

In the absolute doomsday scenario of we win out, and they get only 1 point, both teams would have 79 points. Both teams currently have 24 ROW. Even if we won all 3 in SO, it goes to goal differential, and we crush them there.

Note that since Toronto plays Carolina this week, we are guaranteed that at least one of those teams finishes ahead of us.

Or, not too much for me to hope for... apparently? One of those wish-and-a-prayer ProLine days where I could have made some caaash.

A regulation loss to Tampa on Wed would make all this way less stressful.. There's got to be one more regulation loss in the last 3 games right?

Stamkos with 4 goals on Wed to reach 60 and a 4-3 Habs regulation loss with 3 points for Cole and 2 points for DD so both reach 60 points would be cool..

Wow, the stars are aligning. So if we end in 2nd, we could do no worse than 3rd overall, right? We'd be in line for #1, 2 or 3?

Tankerrific. Markov, PK and CP look like they need a few nights off...
