Way too many gaping holes and issues with this team for Backstrom to have mattered that much.

Now if you tell me Backstrom plus Ovechkin and Semin playing better than 50% all year sure...

This is where I wished Leonsis' crap about this being a hockey capital, was true. Some real scrutiny would shed light on the failures of management.

Only thing more hilarious is the potential meltdown by Florida that might allow the Caps to win the division.

Does Locker really believe what he's saying? The notion that he "can't believe this team would be blown out in this big of game" (or something along those lines) is ridiculous. Has he been blind the last 5 years? This crap is nothing new.

You have to figure the next game in Boston is a loss so they'll have to win the last 4 to have a chance. Somehow this certainly does not feel like the "Don't Stop Believing" Caps of 07-08.

Holtby could have played a little better by not leaving his net for two of the goals.

Honestly, what do people expect.

Below average goaltending, average defense, lack of centers and lack of offensive scoring ability and depth.

This is a bubble team at best THIS year until our young guys grow into their potential.

I'm telling you, they've been replaced by pod people. I've never seen a pair more afraid to tell the truth. I'm shocked May hasn't been fired. At least he's not blatantly bs'ing the audience.

Good thing they didn't sell off Wideman. He's the only one keeping this respectable.

I wonder if our stars miss the net as often as other teams stars. We can't even complete the most basic of passing plays. We still need our stars to carry us since our greenhorn mega O (mega soft) D, nor our G seem to be able to.

Tail between the legs termination tuesday will soon give way to waterloo wednesday. I am looking forward to fa fa fa king friday.

Will make things hilarious if Florida loses in regulation tonight though Caps still have a game left against them and have more ROW for the tiebreaker.

That non-move might be the biggest failure of the season.

The University of Kentucky can beat the Wizards
Norfolk Admirals could compete against the Caps.
Any issues with Washington's management??????
