I dont want to get everybody down , but i doubt Roy will leave the province of Quebec . his next destinations are either Montréal or the Nordiques, that's what we've been reading in the papers , lately .

Because he's never coached anything other than peewee teams and has openly said he does not want to coach in the NHL.

A big NO to the idea of Sakic becoming coach. Just because he had an extremely successful NHL career does not mean he will be a good coach. Just look at Gretzky. But yes, I agree that Sakic is being primed for the GM position down the road.

I do agree, but the Quèbec press? They're going to hype that up with even no sources.

Sacco will 100% be the coach of this team next year.

And I hate it.

Yup, this late push staying in playoff contention made Sacco look good and i also think he'll get rewarded with a new contract.

Avs should of just tanked it.

Yea, I mean I don't know what exactly went down, but this team has deserved a ripping during a lot of games this season. You have to have someone do the yelling with a young team. Especially when O'Brien and Wilson keep making the same mistakes with the puck they've made all year. Again I don't know the details, so maybe it got too personal.

On the surface though, this D has a much better system than it had for a long long time. They don't run around as much as they used to, and are much more physical, and effective. If Cloutier was still here he would have turned all the 6 ft plus guys into a bunch of house kittens.

If I had to guess, I'd say they bring back Sacco with Quinn running the D. Then Quinn takes over when the team hits another early rough patch next year. I'm pretty sure Quinn ran the D at BU though I may be wrong.

Yes. I won't mention specifics, but I stood outside the room for 15 minutes on Saturday night waiting for a couple of the guys and all I could hear was Lefebvre ripping into people. Not just the D, but the forwards as well.

I've always wondered if guys respond better to being yelled at or conversational/professional criticism better.

Everyone is different but personally I know that when I played sports if a coached started screaming at me I wouldn't play harder. I don't respect ppl that feel the need to scream at ppl. I understand getting frustrated with ppl and raising your voice.

David Quinn or an experienced guy like Martin or Renney(whos gonna get canned) could be a big improvement.

I was never a fan of Renney coached teams. I wouldn't want him.

If we wait long enough, Dave Tippett could be available. He would be awesome. It would be boring hockey, but he could get a lot out of this lineup.

If the Yotes go to Quebec, I would assume they would want a french speaking coach as well. Maybe not, but that is my assumption.

That and Roy is waiting for them to come back. They may have to release Tippett and we can snatch him up.

I think you're right on it , I highly doubt that Québec would keep Tippett as a coach and like you said, they would probably go on the French speaking road . In a way it's really sad coz Tippett did an amazing job with the Yotes, he's a great coach that's for sure .
