It's okay, we can tie it to the Giants.

Hey folks, Avs fan dropping by.

The Sharks looked amazing tonight, just so strong in the corners and able to crash the net at will. Wish the Avs had put up more of an effort, but eh, can't get it done every year.

I thought Burns in particular has looked so improved as compared to when we played you guys earlier in the season. Really glad he was able to turn his game around as he's one of my favourite players. Hope the Avs give you guys a hand heading towards the playoffs...you're my playoff team (I've cheered for the Sharks the last few playoffs actually).

Mitchell and Winnik da Winner are both stepping up BIG TIME. It's really fun to watch.

Hopefully the Sharks can find a way to win both of this Wed/Thurs back to back, or at least get 3 out of 4 points.

Cheers, bud.

If your boys don't find a way in this year, your future prospects look very good. You guys snagged a 20+ goalscorer off of us, who has great chemistry with Stastny and solidifies your 2nd line.

Hope your team plays well from here on out.

I don't think he was comfortable at all being on the other side. Looked timid and almost confused playing against the Sharks. As he said, he thought he'd never leave, and it doesn't really sink in until you see them on the other side. I just don't think he was able to prepare himself for it.

Great game for the Sharks.

All 4 lines got a goal. 2nd line had the prettiest one. Faked the goalie right onto the bench.

I think it was last game, I watched Mitchell skate up to Zus and take the puck straight off his stick and turn it towards the net. Moore and Zus aren't doing anything.
Moore and Zus were the reason Mitchell even scored tonight.

Wow. Great game. Don't think I've seen that type of desperation out of the Sharks for a full 60 minutes...in a long time. The Sharks are picking the right time to warm up. It's up to them if they want to get hot and go into the playoffs. Winning the division is a must and somehow they get to control their own destiny, a luxury that the 5 other teams the Sharks are fighting don't have.

Don't blow this Sharks.

I love how one of the writers pegged the headline as "Sharks win 4 to 1" trying to get the headline out as soon as it was over. Then they had to scramble to change it to 5 when the Sharks hit the empty net and instead of changing it to "5 to 1" they flubbed and added the 5 to the 4.

With the win and division lead, I have downgraded our emo-ness warning level from the cover of Rush's seminal album, 'Moving Pictures' down to Blackwatch Plaid.

and if you don't get the reference, we can't be friends.

Who is this team scoring 45 goals? I am certain there must have been contributions from the other lines for the score to be so lopsided. Niemi gave up 1 goal, come on man, shutout is what we want.

I just got home from the game but I like a lot of things about the Avs, they have a lot of the right ingredients. Coach pulling the goalie with 4 minutes left though, not sure about that?

Anyways, props to Niemi who had what I think was his best game since January. He was very good when he needed to be and it wasn't like the Boston game where he dind't have to deal with many scoring chances. Also for the first time in a while the Sharks had good defense, and good offense. I dn't remember the last time both showed up in the same game. All 19 guys played very well. Keep playing like this and they are contenders again.

And Couture is fine.

Mentioned in the postgame show that Couture told reporters it's nothing serious. He just left the game as a precaution since they were up by so much.

Brodie relayed that Juicy said he's fine. He was kept out for precautionary measures.

He wanted to get some of the hot water before Thornton parked in there and took it all.

He's fine.
