i liked Stoner and Kampfer and was meh on everyone but Scandella, who had a really bad first period and did squat but hit gaborik a couple times the rest of the game. I seriously think Koivu isn't 100% and shouldn't have come back...Just not himself: he's not as tenacious as he usually is and looks decidedly soft physically. That's fine if you're nursing a healing injury but I don't like the idea of him playing injured this late in a dead season.

I've been very happy with Kampfer. I've changed my opinion of that trade from "wish we got a pick instead" to "good pickup."

That's about how he's looked for two years now.

Koivu had a few really great plays in the 3rd? I think it was....kept the puck in the zone and gave people a couple chances...it was before they scored their 3rd goal.

i
"What have you done for me lately" syndrome?

Before the injury he was playing physically and well. I guess it's easy to forget things like that when you want to.

No it's watching the games and making a judgment call. Two years ago he was physical, aggressive, and battled around the net. Since then he's been trailing the play more often than not. Like he's got a hip or knee injury in that he's not skating nearly as fast as he was, and as a result gets a lot fewer chances.

well he's never been physically aggressive but IMO he's been shying away from the idea of contact lately--he'll slow up instead of risking taking a hit while going for a loose puck for example.

He's been more aggressive in the past which has opened up some space. The last couple years he's been knocked off the puck more than normal. Perhaps because of his shoulder injuries. But in the past he would bull through the defender rather than allowing the defender to come through him. Not to mention being more active in the forecheck and around the net.

I just see a much more passive player the last couple years and that's why my opinion has soured on him. He still does nice things on the PP but without that jump in his step he's not a 90 point player like I thought he would be a couple years ago, more a 70 point guy.
