Is it possible to subscribe to a forumer's posts? I really want to watch that guy have a mental breakdown.
If/when the Luongo to Toronto trade happens, it's going to be fun to watch the reaction. We should either have Canuck's fans that will be shocked by the low return or the Leaf's fans that will go non-linear at what Burke gave up.
I'm hoping Burke sold the farm for Luongo. Simply because it'll stop Penguin fans from countering every offer with "Well, Burke will give more because Burke loves Jordan Staal".

Do you think the NHL could really handle another lockout? With the economy the way it is, I can't see the fan base coming back so quickly if there's another lockout only 8 years after the last one.
Alright. I needed to know when to start putting on the panic alert.
I don't think the league can take another lockout. The owners would be downright stupid to force a lockout, so I think the cards are in the players' hands. I'm not expecting a lockout, and would be downright pissed if they had two in less than 10 years. Especially after the NBA and NFL managed to get their deals done when it appeared all but certain they would have one. This will be rough for me because this could be(knock on wood) my first lockout when I was focused on all aspects of the sport. 04-05 was too early for me to really care about what was happening. Hopefully, there won't be a lockout.

If there's a lockout I can watch NBA and NFL without the hinderence of slack jawed Canadians asking for the Flames game on tv. Pretty sweet tbh
Rumor is that Evander Kane doesn't want to re-sign with the Jets, so it only took one season for players to view Winnipeg the same way they view Edmonton.
...or at least it was some nice video editing to cause you to believe as much.
Yeah, that was created by someone on HF.
Stewart's not much of a hockey fan. He'll mention the Rangers/Devils on occasion, but in the bandwagon "I don't really get it" way. His counterpart, Colbert, however is a big hockey (and specifically Hurricanes) fan.

He had that "fling" with the Saginaw Spirit, and he tooted the Hurricanes' horn when they won the Cup, but lately his comments have been mostly dismissive of hockey, so I've begun to question whether he's really into it at all.

Well, think about what his act is supposed to be. He's a parody of the conservative talking head. A rich, white, "Born and bred" American stereotype. Dismissing hockey to stick with that character makes sense.
