LOL. I guess that actually makes some sense if you think a player isn't going to get points but might end up with a bad +/- rating. It would be better in that case to play someone who is retired. With Adams on the Pens, though, that doesn't hold much water.

... this is going to take some time to get used to.

Sutter made quite the impression in his unofficial Penguins debut in tonight's Black and Gold game. He made a really nice pass over to Cooke for the 1st goal of the game, led a short-handed rush to set up Cooke's 2nd, banged home a rebound on the PP in OT and then wristed it by Vokoun in the SO. Sutter was named the 2nd star of the contest with the fans being the 1st.

Sutter 2nd star behind the fans? Good for him. On a lighter note, Ducks resigned Troy Bodie. Lolol

Sutter looks weirdly like Ron Francis in that uniform.

Bryce Salvador the new Devils captain.

Weird choice, but I love it when they give it to a role player and not just hand it to the superstar...

So just when I was thinking there are TOO many good things being said about the Canes right now, I open the latest SI and my faith is restored. They project us for 14th out of 15 in the east. Just like they did in 2005-06. Well eastern conference, now you're really ****ed.

I expect the SI newsroom is "all hands on deck" while they try to explain why they never picked up a telephone even one time to verify one single word Manti Te'o told them.

I still think JR is going to regret including Dumoulin for years to come.

Yeah Dumo's going to be a solid #3/4 guy for a while, and a defensive minded one at that. You know, the sort of thing we need in our organization long term.

I'm not even made that we gave up the pick anymore since they used it on Pouliot who I've never been sold on, though he is having a nice season.

Giving up Dumo though? I know we had to overpay to keep the Rangers from getting Jordan, but damn. Pity that couldn't have been Alt instead.

Thinking about Pouliot though, I really frigin want to draft this kid this year in a middle round: http://whl.ca/roster/show/id/8161

Not like he's leaching points off a high-end prospect either.

Well, only got it for the promo they were doing with NCAA 2013 for xbox. I actually just donate the copies to the waiting room here at the hospital. Video game AND a tax write-off

On the other hand, in their SE preview on their site right now, they claim that 3 SE will be making the playoffs (Washington, Carolina, and Florida or an improved Tampa Bay).

You want to draft an undersized center from the WHL? Is that you JR?

If he played for Plymouth he'd already be in the pipeline.
