I'm thinking about wearing my Hartnelldown shirt for the first time tomorrow.
I'm now somewhat of a closet Flyers fan with the transition from Carter/Richards to Giroux.
Plus, the shirt has orange on it, therefore it's valid down here in Tigertown.

Mocking the Columbus Blue Jackets is like shaking down the kid in the wheelchair for his lunch money. It would be easy, but it wouldn't be any fun ...

Working in Flyers country made them my #2 team. They entertain me. I can't really say I'm a closet fan anymore since I declared my bandwagon status for them after the Columbus game.

Wade Redden is a better defenceman than Chara. Chara is to big and fat and slow to be effective in the new NHL. So we're gonna let him walk and sign with a division rival.

Columbus is up 4-1 on Detroit. Either Columbus wins 5-1, or Detroit comes back and wins 5-4. I have foreseen it.

Or is it, "I've seen it before?"

Terms of the contract are revealed to be an on-call hooker and a handle of vodka per day.

Makes me wonder where we'd be if we'd gotten him 10 days earlier.

Montreal fires Gauthier. And as to how it effects the Canes...

Asked Muller is he has an "out" in Canes contract should Montreal come looking for a head coach. He doesn't. Said fully commited to Canes.

Thankful for this.
Besides, I'm still praying that the Patrick Roy/Bob Hartley rumor comes true. For the record I'm a Hartley/Roy fan, but watching Patrick troll the Montreal media has the possibility of wonder and excitement.

Also, I just noticed this, but if Whitney signs with any team next season, he'll have been in the league for 20 years. That's ridiculous.

They take tanking seriously - only 1 goalie dressed for the game.

That Chimera ejection is a joke. McQuaid basically put his own face on the glass. And the charging penalty is a joke, apparently you can't pursue the puck carrier after a line change

I'm sitting here watching it on NHLHD, and during the intermission the studio happened to mention, "Hmm, I wonder how Jack Edwards would have called that if he were calling it for the Caps?" or words to that effect.
Pretty bad call, IMO.

On a lighter note, Crosby apparently got hit in the nose with a slapshot. Pretty hilarious tbh

From the one camera angle it did look like a borderline legit call. From the other angle, though, the call is a joke. Where was the call made from? - the joke angle
