Pyatt was signed for his playoff play. He's been excellent IMO. I don't care if he rides the pine all season as long as he does his thing in the playoffs.

We need a lot more skill up front. Give Miele and Brown, and perhaps Tikhonov their shots. Chip and Torres will probably walk.

But he was awful in both Detroit series. Complete passenger. One outta three ain't gonna cut it for me.

Yeah we will have torres for another year for which I am glad. I like what he brings to the team.

I also like what Torres brings. The worst part of his game is when he does those through-the-legs drop passes at the blue line. Half time they get picked off, and it leads to a rush for the other team.

I also think Chipchura should be re sign, we can probably get him pretty cheap. He is playing awesome these last couple of games.

Are every one of your 300 posts about Chipchura? Not that i mind. I love Chipchura. Love what he brings. How long have you been following his career? What initially got you interested in following him?

I guess you're not Chip's Mom - I thought that's where all the Chip love was coming from.

If he signs back on for the right price its a win-win for Kyle and the organization.

I actually know him from his minor hockey days and is the only person I know in the NHL personally, thats why I am a big fan. Is there something wrong with cheering him on?lol.

Nothing at all. I really like Chipchura and I hope we keep him. He's a very useful player. Great on draws, heart of a lion, can keep up with the play, underrated with the gloves off, and tough as they come.

How much does Chipchura make next year? A little less than Boyd Gordon money?

Chipchura is RFA, right? I don't see him getting much more than he made this season. He's been great but I don't think other teams are going to throw offer sheets at him.

It's not about dollars. Nobody is giving him more than 750kay. What Chipchura will be concerned with is getting a one way deal, or a two way with a very, very rich AHL salary.

7yrs, 50mils to Parise (maybe 8yrs/60mils)

Rundblad and Brown to Buffalo for Roy

Parise-Roy-Doan
Whitney-Hanzal-Vrby
Korpi-Vermette-Boeds
Torres-Gordon-Brule
Chip/Biz

Assuming Bill Gates buys us and Derek Roy plus 60mils is enough to lure Parise here.

I like the look of that. its amazing, we get a few first line guys and suddenly our third and fourth lines look crazy good. boedker/vermette/korpi for a third line would be awesome

If we get a new owner, I don't think it's a stretch at all to say we sign a prime FA and make a huge trade, both for the first line. For the last three years I have believed we would have had one of the best bottom 6 and a decent 2 if we could just get a 1st line. Parise - Huge trade - one of our guys or another lesser trade/fa signing would not only make us better talent-wise, it would make us more exciting to watch as well. An owner plus the fact that we don't have any horrible contracts makes it a very real possibility imo.

The reason why I like those two pipe dream acquisitions in particular is the style the play. They are both up tempo, go-go, players with non stop motors. Always buzzing around, and both are excellent defensively. Good fit for Tippett, Doan, and a market starved for flashy star power. I just don't think a brainy player like Spezza would have the same impact in this market. A flashy American kid like Parise could have some legitimate star power in the valley.

I like the sound of that line up. Hopefully an owner blows into town so we can actually afford them. As for Pyatt, Tip said he played most of the season injured and he was just starting to feel good again. Chip has been everything and more of what we expected. I sign him up again.

It's not a bad plan. It's just gonna be damn hard to convince Parise to come to the desert when there's sure to be a lot of good offers. And Rundblad & Brown for a year of Roy could be a costly move.

The Yotes are going to have to get creative to get over the cap floor next year. So points for creativity.

Pyatt is really making a case for a new contract. Then again, I love what I've seen from both Chipchura and Brule.

I can't take 82 games of slow-plodding, not-caring Pyatt. It looks absolutely awful next to Brule and Chipchura, who play with fire.
