I did see this in the Wild.com article about it:
Quote:
Zucker is one of two players from the United States to win three gold medals in one calendar year, as he won a gold medal at the 2009 and 2010 World Under-18 Championships as well as the 2010 World Junior Championship.
Who was the other American to do that? Anyone know?

Nice avatar - perhaps the funniest comic at this moment.
Adding Zucker and losing Zanon and Zidlicky is good conservation of Zs.

You are correct. Campbell did it with the same teams.

Well I dont recall Christensen ever skating with Johnson either.
Is this going to be a 2nd line or 3rd line?

I'm not sure, but I don't think there's really a 2nd line on the team right now, it's more of a 1st line with a mixed bag of 3rd and 4th liners across the other 3.
I assume he's going to get a lot of playing time. I like it because they all can skate pretty quick.

Probably trying to get Christensen going as well as give Zucker some kind of a skilled forward to work with, while Johnson is probably supposed to provide a physical element but of course that never actually is a deterrent.

I spose that works. Fletcher has said that one of the secondary reasons they want him here instead of on ATO in Houston is to give him a taste of the NHL game and let him figure out what he needs to do this summer as far as conditioning goes in preparation for next year.
No better way to do it than to just toss him right into everything.

I think it's a great idea to give him a taste and make him want it even more.
And to go off what Jarick said, Christensen is a skilled forward, so maybe the two will work well together?

Russo saying Zucker is now the fastest player on the Wild, not like it's a huge accomplishment, but something to look forward too.
And unlike Seto, he should be able to actually handle a puck at speed.

Yeah, it would make sense that he is the fastest on the Wild as he's always seemed like one of the faster players whenever I got to watch him play.
I think everyone is just excited to see what he's got.

Well, Setoguchi is quite fast, no?
I'm looking forward to seeing Zucker tear it up in the Wild.

Seto is fast but can't handle a puck very well or at speed.

I don't think Zucker is all that good at puckhandling either.

Matt Foy 2.0 right?
He has puck skills. That catch he made in the final five for the breakaway goal against UMD was amazing.

Yes, but the statement was "fastest on the team" not "fastest who can handle the puck well with speed."

Not much good to being fast if you cant handle the puck at your top speed.
