Here's my thing... You play Ottawa in round 1, we prolly win, but there isn't much left to get out of round 2. That would tax us every single shift.
Washington won't, BUT you have TONS of experience over there....That is worrisome. You have to figure for ONCE that team will put it together and go on some sort of post season run. Backstrom is back, and they actually play him with Semin, and put Ovechkin on another line, meaning Ference and Manchuk will have their hands full.
Hopefully their soft, turnover prone defense and maybe shaky goaltending with give us a decided edge, but i feel like we are going to win, but have our hands full.
Funny, Larry Brooks for the NY Post was scared to death of Ottawa in his article today and was begging for the Rangers to get the Caps. But the B's have had a harder time with Caps. Nothing is guaranteed here.
Although, I think if Corvo and Wideman are on the ice at the same time, they might spontaneously combust.....
the two time All-Star Tomas Vokoun missed six starts due to groin injury in mid-March then made his first start in Boston when he re-tweaked this injury and is expected to miss the remainder of the playoffs
the 24-year-old, Calder Cup winning Michal Neuvirth suffered a “lower-body injury” in the second-period of an important game against the Panthers on Saturday nigh
I've got a bad feeling about this. Bruins struggle with teams like this.
I'm not worried. If we can't beat these guys, we can't beat any of NJ, Pits, Phil, etc...
The Caps are the worst team not named Florida or Ottawa. So whatever, let's beat them and see what happens against some of the elite guys. But we HAVE to beat the caps to have any shot at the better ones. No fear.
