Bruins vs. Caps ECQF

We as fans have been mentally preparing for Ottawa, but looks like we're getting Washington instead. I'm a little nervous about this series, although I think the B's win it in 6.

Thoughts?

Caps scare the living **** out of me, especially the way they played us this year, even without Backstrom. We have to pummel these guys real quick!

Think their injury situation in goal is a real challenge for them.

Here's my thing... You play Ottawa in round 1, we prolly win, but there isn't much left to get out of round 2. That would tax us every single shift.

Washington won't, BUT you have TONS of experience over there....That is worrisome. You have to figure for ONCE that team will put it together and go on some sort of post season run. Backstrom is back, and they actually play him with Semin, and put Ovechkin on another line, meaning Ference and Manchuk will have their hands full.

Hopefully their soft, turnover prone defense and maybe shaky goaltending with give us a decided edge, but i feel like we are going to win, but have our hands full.

Their fire power scares me, but I am not convinced they can ride their back up to the back up goalie through a 7 game series.

I think they are a tougher opponent solely due to the fact that Thomas all but owns Ottawa and that can't be said of the Caps.

Certainly, would have preferred Sens. Better B ready.

Recall: Dale Hunter.

My playoff prediction:

The Bruins will lose a game here or there.

Bruins fans will

I've got a bad feeling about this. Bruins struggle with teams like this.

Gotta get on their defense and goaltending.

They suck on the road so gotta win the first two.

If the Bruins can't beat the Caps they weren't going far anyway.

Funny, Larry Brooks for the NY Post was scared to death of Ottawa in his article today and was begging for the Rangers to get the Caps. But the B's have had a harder time with Caps. Nothing is guaranteed here.

Although, I think if Corvo and Wideman are on the ice at the same time, they might spontaneously combust.....

Why are people here afraid of the always underachieving Caps? We are defending CHAMPS... Where are your testicles people?

Meh

I'm not worried. If we can't beat these guys, we can't beat any of NJ, Pits, Phil, etc...

The Caps are the worst team not named Florida or Ottawa. So whatever, let's beat them and see what happens against some of the elite guys. But we HAVE to beat the caps to have any shot at the better ones. No fear.

Washington's D can be worn down by physical play over a seven-game series. Pound 'em like they're Vancouver.

The Bruins have the better goalie.
The Bruins have better defense.
The Bruins have better depth.

If we try out best every game, we should win this series.
