And how absurd is it that the Mariners and A's both have to play more Spring Training games after playing two regular season games in Japan? Bud Selig is out of his ****ing mind.
That doesn't bother me as much as a day like tomorrow where there are a bunch of games but ONE of them is a regular season game. Like really? Why can't you just start the regular season and leave it at that. All this flipping around is ridiculous.

Stephen Drew will start the season on the DL. I can't wait for him to be fully healthy and come back after that terrible injury last year.

Big concern is he won't have the same range though. 3b or 2b may be in his future and he's less valuable there.

Yep. I really really like his bat though, he has such a great baseball swing.

At some point tonight it will finally hit me that Pujols, TLR and Duncan are actually gone.

The marlins park looks awesome, I just watched a video tour of it. But one thing I think is absolutely stupid is that carnival fiesta thing at center field; they need to tear that thing down ASAP.

I think everyone feels that way.
It's just sooooooo out of place.
I feel like one of owner's sons was brought in to do the statue and even though it turned out to be an eyesore they felt obligated to keep it.

Loria brings out Ali with him so no one boos Loria. Smart guy.
Terrible seeing Ali like that. I could barely watch.

Even if Muhammad Ali was in perfect health, what does he have to do with the Marlins and their new park? Bringing him out in the condition he was in only made it worse.

They did it because no one hates Ali. Loria gets his attention with none of the booing.
Add it to the list of crimes against humanity and baseball for Jeffrey Loria.

Meh, that green color "fits" with Florida, but it's too bright and such. Looks like a nice park though. I wonder how the crowds will be throughout the season.
Anyone know where the field is at in comparison to Sun Life Stadium?

The field is closer to the city than Sun Life was. I saw it when I went to Miami in May. It's right next to the expressway, airport, city, South Beach...et cetera. Great location.
Sun Life was basically packed away in Northern Miami.

St.Louis up 2-0. Might as well fold up the chairs, Miami's season is done.

Hanley will make a big statement. Whether it be a homer or a couple RBIs.

Hanley and Reyes miscommunicate and the ball gets through. They're about 2 innings from a fistfight, aren't they?
