Maybe, or maybe the Flames aren't giving it their all.... how can a team not hit like the other team or play desperate as the other team is playing especially when we all know what is on the line..
I agree. the kings are more skilled.. but why is the kings superior in effort too?

Because it seems like 75% of the time, the Flames don't give a ****.
If they did, you would see stretches like our 5 game win streak more often. It wasn't luck, fluke or anything else. We actually tried to play as a team, cover assignments, work along the boards, backcheck (I'm looking at you Iginla), and forecheck.
When we do all of that, we are very sucessful. I understand that we can't win every game, but doing all of that gives us a good chance to beat any team in the league. However, when we don't play like that, we look like a sack of poop. We run around in our zone, make poor passes/don't connect passes, and take poor quality shots when we actually get a chance.
We also take a ton of dumb penalties.
