Nice knowing you Gustavsson.

This is like a lottery. We'll keep trying our goalies and hope one of them sticks. I hope we get lucky.

Well there you have it. Gustavsson is finished as a Leaf. I was at the game last night and felt it right then and there.

We might as well let Scrivens finish the year and see what he can do. The guy is the starter for a Calder cup contender. In my opinion he's got a real shot at making the team next year if we can't trade for an established Goalie. Aside from the drubbing Scrivens took from Boston, he was doing great statistically speaking.

I want Scrivens to do well. To me I'd rather know what we have in Scrivens than secure a couple places higher in the draft. Regardless if we finish 5th or 7th, we'll probably get the player we want in the draft who my best guess is either Guance or Galchenyuk.

Damn...I wanted Rynnas to start next game! And it's like musical chairs with the goalies. Does that mean Owuya gets called up to the Marlies? He's been good so I don't mind that but if he isn't being called up then I'm worried that these moves could hurt the Marlies. Another year of no Leafs in the playoffs but dammit I wanna go to some Marlies playoff games and this better not ruin things.

Hilarious seeing people blame Gustavsson for last night's game which no goalie in the league would have won.

The Royals need Owuya there for the playoff push.

Damn. I just checked the standings and with 3 games left, the Royals are right in the thick of things sitting in 8th. He seems to be doing really well. .925 sv % and a 15-5-2-1 win record.

I'm confused with how this works out for the Marlies though. They've already put Rynnas back on the Marlies roster and removed Scrivens who is now on the Leafs roster but right now, Rynnas is the only goalie listed for the Marlies. Who is his back-up? I remember they signed a goalie last season and he did relatively well but I see no information on any goalie being called to the Marlies.

I would've preferred to see Scrivens stay with the Marlies and Rynnas get the start with the Leafs. Gives him some experience like what Scrivens had earlier and Scrivens has been red hot with the Marlies. I don't even want to think about what fans will say if Scrivens stands on his head and ends up winning games and playing right out of a lotter pick

The team is being extra cautious with Reimer which means "tank baby tank!"

He's in a position to get a lottery pick now he's playing his best minor league goalie.

Burke is an idiot.

If you listen to Carlyle last night, he said that Reimer got hit in practice and was not feeling well. Puck to the head? Concussed?

I only saw the first goal deflected in by Franson, after watching for a bit more it was obvious where that game was headed.

sry but 5 games doesn't tell you what you have in a player or a goalie ethier good or bad. espicially when the team is already eliminated from the playoffs and theres no pressure on the team to win. a better representation of Scrivens would be his work earlier in the season, recardless of how he plays in these last 5, if he even plays.

It's like the game against Philadelphia. You never win if your team scores 0 goals. You wanted Gus to go out and net a hat-trick to send it to OT and then ice the game winner top cheddar from the crease he'd be standing on his head in?

Not much to suggest Scrivens is leaps and bounds ahead of Reimer and Gustavsson. IMO probably better than Gus, probably worse than an injured Reimer, but give the kid a chance to play. The team in front of him has clearly given up, so it shouldn't matter unless Scrivens keeps things at 0 till the end of the third.

Don't worry. He'll be joining the Marlies soon anyways. Along with Ashton, Gardiner and Frattin. We only have 6 or 7 games left.

An elite goalie makes those saves and it goes 0-0 into OT, then. All 3 were weak. Nuff said. Funny how some people here hated Raycroft during his 35+ win season and Gus has been consistently ****** for 3 years and he is defended to the death by some folks.
