I was going to, and then I applied for a passport renewal (since I want to go to London for the Olympics) and I am now unable to leave the country until April 16th. Ah well.

Thames puts the jays up 2-1 with a 2rbi single.

Sox came back in the bottom of that inning with a Big Papi jack.

Now tied 2-2 in the 7th.

HAHAH

If he can develop into a .270ish hitter hes going to be a massive problem.

Like Micheal Bourn on steroids

Anthony Gose just stole home on Salty's throw back to the pitcher, his fourth of the day, third of the inning. #Jays up 3-2 in top 8th.

80 speed!

We will be lucky if Gose gets to be a .270 hitter. If he does he will be one of the best CF in baseball given his 15/20 hr potential. His defense will be elite.

Also, not sure why it hasn't been mentioned by Alvarez pitched in a minor league game against Yankees high A team.

Mike Wilner ‏ @Wilnerness590
Alvarez is done after 7 innings, allowed 2 hits, no runs, no walks, 4 Ks. 72p/57 strikes, topped out at 95. Saw 1 over min. #bluejays #jays

Jays won with pretty much a scrubs line-up against a lot of Red Sox regulars. Pretty impressive win... not that it means much, of course.

Thats what sucks about it, the ST record is nice to look at, but when April 5th hits it all means nothing..too bad..I'd do about anything for the Jays to start off 22-4 in the regular season LOL

FAP FAP FAP!!! Guy is only 22 years old and keeps getting better and better. Top of the rotation starter potential. Yeah I know it's against High A ball, but damn throwing 95! No way he threw 95 last year. He was closer to 91-92, looks like he's got some extra jump in his fastball so far this spring. Only throwing 15 balls is pretty impressive as well. Man our rotation is going to be filthy in the next 2-3 years with guys like Hutchinson and Syndergaard pushing for a rotation spot.

Romero, Morrow, Alvarez, Drabek, Hutchinson, Syndergaard, Norris...PITCHING FOR DAYS!

Gose's box score

Haven't seen the video but stealing home on a throwback for a guy who has already been cut makes Lawrie look like a *****.

I must say your dedication to hating Brett Lawrie's personality is unmatched.

e: I think I totally misread that, but my way is far funnier in my own mind

Alvarez threw 101 in AA last year on 2 occasions. Sat mainly around 97 until his call-up.

Must have misread me. It was tongue in cheek, I dont hate either personality.

Was just saying a move like that would be too daring for even Lawrie. Wasn't a knock on either of them.

He threw as hard as Brandon Morrow and regularly hit 94-96. Highest I saw him hit was 97 last year.

Ya it's exciting times with so many quality arms coming thru the system and you didnt even mention either Justin Nicolino or Aaron Sanchez who both have crazy high ceilings. I was watching the Rays game today and Hellickson is a pitcher who I think Hutchison could be similar too. They are about the same size and have somewhat similar stats in the minors. If Drabek can figure his ***** out this rotation going forward will be very very good.
