According to his agent it will be published in 1-2 days. He also stated that he has inside information that he will be in the 1st line with Koivu and They're trying to get Semin into other wing on that line out of FA market.

The Wild are not going to get Semin.

Russo confirmed it.

As much as I wouldn't mind having Semin's offensive abilities on the Wild there's almost no chance of it happening. The Wild (according to Russo) have zero interest in him and the last thing we need is another headcase on this team.

According to this, Granlund has a sure spot in Koivu's line and the contract is ready to be signed. Granlund's agent confirmed that Granlund is going to the NHL.

Does he really have a spot in Koivu's line?

(Mikko Koivu = Michael Birch, sorry for the google translate )

So according to that guy the Wild really are going to try to sign Semin. I still don't see it happening but whatever.

With Granlund playing on Koivu's line, for the love of god don't tell me this means we'll have to endure another year of 2nd line center Cullen.

I really don't think he's been guaranteed a spot on Koivu's line. That's not how Fletcher and Yeo work. Will they put him there? Possibly. Are they using it as a negotiating ploy to get him to sign? Not likely. For the most part, we've seen a front office who doesn't promise any player a spot (with some exceptions like Heatley and Koivu)...especially early in the offseason with a kid who hasn't even signed his first contract. At best, they'd probably say that he "might" get a chance with Koivu, or they'd like to start him there to see what happens. But that's far from promising a permanent spot on the line.

This brings back so many good memories of waiting to hear if Gabby re-signed. All the rumors...all the drama....sweating it out till the last minute.

This is what I thought too. Mikke will probably start with Birch, and I guess he has a spot there for at least the first 8-9 games. After that it all depends on Granlund and how he will adjust to the game in the smaller rink.

Don't bother. It'd be similar to what you'd say if I asked what it would take to get Fowler.

Well they could always start with Fowler. But then again prospect for prospect almost never happen, even if Fowler technically isn't a prospect. And is way more proven for 2 NHL seasons. So yeah sorry for wasting everyones time with these sentences.

I have a feeling that either he booms or busts in his 9 games.. But probably spends his time in AHL with random call-ups his 1st 2 seasons.. And Wild has a excellent chance to sign Semin, if they are interested.. And i hope wild try to get the trainer who trained Seguin and Tavares.. Hes magician at helping youngsters improve their skating, what is his biggest fault..

i can totally see the claim of putting him with koivu to be legit, they play well together at worlds last year and briefly this year. but semin to me doesn't at all fit what Yeo wants and i just don't see Minnesota on Semins list.

i mean play with datsyuk in detroit, malkin in pittsburgh, or in minnesota.
