Yea I think he is right I trust AV too. But not sure what the players think. Hope they forget it. They didn't seem all that pumped during the interview that is for sure.
Or we could overplay our top players right now like last year and build up our injury list....

well this is not first time. At first it was Ryan Kesler, then Raymond, now Booth. He is certainly not making the players happy that is for sure.
The job of a coach isn't to make the players happy. It's to make tough decisions and win games. Players may be upset, but will understand and respect that. I would be skeptical of any coach that never made their players upset.

Yep. but look what happened with Ovechkin. Not saying we are close to his situation, but just saying AV should keep that in the back of his head and not do that too often.

If you combined all the players' egos on this team (including Kesler), it wouldn't even come close to equaling Ovechkin's ego.

That's absurd. If a player can't suck it up and play for his teammates without pouting like a child, that's a problem with the player - not the coach.
Booth isn't the type of guy to cause problems. I'm sure he admits he has not bee playing well and needs to step it up. I have every reason to believe he will. We need some big playoff goals from him.

In fact Booth has acknowledged he has not been playing well lately and needs to step up his physical play.
“I think I’ve got to start getting more physical, maybe change up my game a little bit,” said Booth.

Was Ovechkin benched before or after he started slumping in goal scoring?
After, so was why all of our guys that were benched.
So what's your point then? That AV shouldnt bench them because they may never score again or that he should keep playing them even if they play like **** so they feel no pressure to ever score again?
I don't see how the second line is unrealistic. I don't think getting Weber is realistic...especially for that package. I could see something around this happening though:
