Just tuned into the Jackets/Wings game.

Is this call up goalie the real deal? Or have the Wings taken on the Devils role in making no name/rookie/back up goalies look like Vezina candidates?

The Wings are now 16-21-3 on the road.

He certainly looked good, and he's a big guy, but looking at his hockeydb profile, he was moved down from the Springfield Falcons to the ECHL this season. Drafted in the 6th round. I doubt there's many expectations for him. If there was, you think he'd have had his shot at replacing Mason by this point.

Martin isn't worth the money, but if he was making less, fans might be more willing to overlook his errors.

Nearly every plan I've seen from Penguins fans dreaming about signing Parise this summer starts with, "trade Martin for scraps". Ya, good luck with that.

Detroit didn't show up. Lots of teams that have clinched aren't showing up lately. The Devils are one of them that doesn't showed up, and have not clinched.

Buffalo, and Ottawa are actually playing with a pulse as well as the teams in the West that haven't clinched like San Jose. As I'm typing this San Jose gives up a goal, and Anaheim leads 1-0.

Seems to be contagious that teams that clinch take their foot off the pedal for a few games.

I saw you say that Anaheim had scored so I changed back over to the Ducks game and San Jose had already tied it

Yeah Clowe tied it up within a minute, and got one through monster pads Hiller.

I'm more into the Dallas, and Edmonton, and Calgary/LA game right now.

These are the teams you can tell are trying to stay in it. Dallas, LA. San Jose. Calgary has been robbed a few times tonight.

I want the Sharks to win tonight, but I can't hate it when Teemu scores.

That was a bizarre ending to the Sharks game.

Thankfully there wasn't enough time for the Sharks to come up and tie it (and they were getting pretty outworked 6-on-5).. but still... that was probably one of the more WTF calls this season. And that's saying something.

I wish the Sharks and Flames had won. Don't want the Kings to be in the playoffs at all

A win from the Bruins tonight would be nice.

Yes! And please tell me they aren't starting Turco? That old washed up slug. Even though Thomas hasn't been great lately I'd rather him than Turco.

I hate having to root for the Flyers, but if they don't win a couple they may crash below us with the Pens twice, Rangers and Send upcoming and no Bryz.

I don't think we'll pass the Flyers. 4 points is a big margin with only ~5 games left.

Last thing the Leafs needed. Are they already eliminated, or are they on the brink?

Bruins and Caps are still tied at 0. Come on Boston!

Isles go up 3-1 on the Penguins. If they hold on, Rangers probably have the division locked up.

Must be rattling the Pens' confidence to know that they can't beat the Islanders.
