End of game and this would have put the faceoff in the Canucks end with tired line out. Timeout already used by the Canucks.

The bottom stick is the Avs stick.

Who wins a tie in icing?

It may not have mattered because Cory Schnieder was in god mode tonight, but O'Reilly def won that race.

Seems to me the Canucks benefited from an iffy icing call against Detroit not too long ago.

The avs had 60 minutes to score. Don't leave it up to the refs and bring out some stupid **** like this.

EDIT: sorry, this wasn't made by an avs fan. a really weak attempt at controversy nonetheless.

is that why Keith can throw flying elbows to the Canucks best players head and not get a major for it?.... refs love the Canucks, just ask Auger about it.

The O'Reilly sure didn't complain much for a player who lost an icing call in a potentially season-ending call..

Blues fan made the thread. Avs fans realize we wouldn't have scored. Schneider was a God tonight.

From this angle it definitely looks like the O'Reilly touched it first, but he didn't even argue the refs call and the ref being so adamant on the call makes me believe if it were looked at from another angle, we would see clearly Higgins touched it first.

Yeah, blown call. There wasn't much time left though (3.7seconds).

We did. But we also lost a game to Dallas because of a ridiculous icing call the week before. These things even out.

Anyway even if Colorado had won the race they would have had like 3 seconds to score. It wasn't happening.

Well doesn't it feel little awkward to benefit from iffy calls as Canucks fans?

At least I do...totally not used to it.

They showed the replay on SNET and I thought it was too close to call. They didn't have a frontal view of the race, which the ref who made the call did. O'Reilly (?) didn't seem to complain, either.

There were only 2 seconds left either way.

And the Avs got some calls in their favour - they didn't even call O'Brien ripping off Hamhuis' helmet during play, lol.

There would have been 3.something seconds left. Hard to say it was all the critical.

Did you notice that weak charging call on Lapierre in the 1st? The Avs only have themselves to blame for this game, not the refs. The only goal scored was a shorty on their powerplay and they botched multiple chances to score.

And there were only 4 seconds left. The Avs weren't going to score anyway.

If you watch the video in slo-mo O'Reilly clearly gets there first. Wouldn't have mattered though.

Eh, it's tough to blame one blown icing call (if it is indeed the wrong call) for the entire game. Sounds like the Avalanche weren't getting through Schneider tonight (no offense Av fans)

That's O'reilly's stick touching the puck there. At best it was a tie if Higgens' stick actually touched the puck. Higgens' stick is on top moving left, O'reilly's stick on bottom is moving to the right. The puck went right behind the net.
