Simmonds would be a third liner on the Flames. He would make a good energy line with GlenX and Jones.
Please, give the player some credit. He'd easily sit as a 2nd liner with Glencross. Not sure who would center them, but give me Jokinen when he's hot and that's quite the two way line you have there.

No kidding. Simmonds is a more physical Glencross. Doesn't have quite the same shot, but very similar players.
Wait you don't think Iginla and Kipper are high end talent? They may not be able to produce at those levels for much longer but both are high end talent.
Sorry, folks. Guess I didn't word my post very well.
Iggy, Kipper and J-Bo are the high end talent. After them, the pickins are pretty slim, IMO.
O ok that is much better but Tangs and Cammy are both higher end talent as well. And Gio is a pretty good player too.
True dat, Gleninator, about Gio. He and J-Bo make up one of the top pairings in the league, when they play together.
The Cammer for Bork deal was great for the Flames, except for Cammer's salary.
Tangs is OK, too, but, call me crazy, I always thought he'd make a better centre than a winger. If you boo his stats, every year in his career he has a close to double assists to goal ratio.
I hear the Flames have some kid named Baertschi, or something like that, who's supposed to be the bee's knees, too.

Tangs is a playmaker but looks uncomfortable at center and isn't great at faceoffs, he has the some of the qualities of a good center but isn't a good fit. The Tangs- Cammy - Iggy line has looked real solid when put together.
Also I apologize for calling you a troll earlier I thought you were trying to mock but I now realize I misread your original post.

No worries, Bro. I will never troll. I will debate passionately, however. Even sardonically, on occasion, which could be taken as "trolling" by some.
So I don't know how to interrupt this but,
In games we win Iginla has 48 points in 35 games and is +26
In games we lose Iginla has 18 points in 45 games and is a -35
Kinda crazy.
When Dreger was asked if iginla would be traded on tsn. This was his response:
Dreger: Yes. It's finally time for change in Calgary. They have been pushing this back for a couple of years now and the only way to go through massive change and do what you have to do to rebuild in Calgary is by trading the captain.*
Argree or disagree?

He also chose Fluery as the Vezina winner so I would take his word with a large grain of salt.

The smartest guy in the room said Iggy wouldn't be traded, so...
But yes, it is time for him to go. Not because I don't love everything Iggy brings to this team, but because both parties need a fresh start.

Agree, we need a new face on this team. It would be very sad to see him go, but I think it is time.
Assuming Iginla pulls a Raymond Bourque and both parties agree that a trade is the best thing to do next year. Would a package such as this do the job?

Iginla
I wouldn't
I think there needs to be a 1st, conditional 1st, top prospect and either a solid young NHLer or NHL ready prospect with upside. I think the prospect needs to be better and either an additional 2nd added in or switch the 2nd to a conditional 1st in 2014

Iginla
While I believe that is good value. I think if feaster pays his cards right and shops again around a bit he could get a team desparate enough for iginla that they would over pay.
