NHL 13 Cover Vote

everyone should go vote for mikko koivu, this would help put the wild on the map and get some media attention, if everyone thats on this forum everyday just took ten minutes to vote i bet we could do it!

No chance in hell does anyone on the Wild come even close to that cover. My guess is Malkin. I don't think he's been on the cover yet.

Is there a curse associated with the NHL cover as there is with the Madden cover or Sports Illustrated curse?

Let me check.

NHL 12: Steven Stamkos, Career high in goals the following season
NHL 11: Jonathan Toews, Career high in points the following season
NHL 10: Patrick Kane, Career high in points the following season (Koivu was in cover for Finland, career high in points the following season)
NHL 09: Dion Phaneuf, Two of his worst seasons in the following seasons, stats-wise
NHL 08: Eric Staal, 2nd best season in points the following season
NHL 07: Alex Ovechkin, 96 points, 46 goals the following season, followed by the 65 goal season
NHL 06: Vincent Lecavalier, 70 points in 80 games, followed by his best ever season

Those are what has happened to the cover players after the lockout. Seems to be going pretty well since they hit NHL 10.

Huh... so might even be reverse jinx.

Yeah, let's go stuff this ballot box.

Well, those bad seasons allowed him to get the hell out of Calgary, so it's a win-win.

We should all vote for Clutterbuck.

That would be awesome.

There's gotta be 50 people who deserve it way more than Mikko. Start with Malkin.

Malkin doesn't exactly need the help.

Personally, though, I wish the balloting was completely open in the first round, so we could vote for people like Kassian and BizNasty.

Also, I'm voting Mr. Classless every round.

I hope somebody like Matt Stajan wins. That would be awesome. That would piss a lot of people off!

Voting for Kassian. (if I could)

Oh man PK Subban is on the ballot? Well he has my vote, the rage from other fans if he was on the cover would be worth it.

Too bad there is a spam prevention, otherwise I'd just set up a macro to do the voting for me.

Honestly their captcha looks like it could be broken by the processing power of an Atari 2600.

If I knew how to program something like that I would set up a macro myself.

Yeah, well, there is macros extension for Firefox but I don't know how to break that captcha.

Damnit, why didn't I study programming more?

Malkin probably deserves it more. But next year... Granlund!

Then we can award posts classless NHL covers instead of classless subbans
