I agree that he was not rushed back. However, if you're going to play him, play him on defense. Don't put him at forward. Jayes is a much better forward. This really sucks. He might just have some maintenance today. If he had symptoms come back or got another concussion, this is horrible news.
This certainly looks really bad for Steve. You have to wonder how much longer he'll keep playing. He had a fairly significant one last year, had one where he was out for a somewhat lengthy time period this year, and now his symptoms are back or he got another one. Awful news.
Adam Jahns @adamjahns Steve Montador is out indefinitely for the #Blackhawks . Looks like his symptoms are back after taking elbow to his head last game
I wonder if the symtoms came back naturally or if he got another one versus New Jersey. I guess we should hope the symtoms came back and he didn't get another one.

He took an elbow to the head in the Jersey game while playing forward. Now Qs gonna try the same thing with SOD and that scares the loving daylights out of me.

Yes, I saw that. What was odd, though, was that he was still on the bench. He didn't go to the "quiet room".
I'm assuming its a set back due to the head hit in the NJD game
we should not have rushed him back.
Also, this one is on Q IMO
you put him at forward where he isn't comfortable and had his head exposed around the net.
he was in a vulnerable position mostly because he doesn't play that position
Montador likes playing forward and has said as much numerous times throughout his career, going back to his days with the Ducks.
**** happens and it just did to Montador and the Hawks. If anyone is to blame, it is Montador for being too brave and showing too much heart, but honestly, I have no problem chalking this up to an accident and parking it there.

A lot of players sit back down on the bench for a few minutes after hits to the head. Montador didn't play for the rest of the game, so he likely ended up going to the quiet room and they judged that he wasn't fit to return.
Same thing happened with Sedin. Pretty sure he even took another shift after the Keith hit, but everyone quickly realized he was done for (at least) the night when he came back to the bench after that shift.
