Team got the best decision, although they didn't have to get blownout, losing by 3 would have been fine. Stay the course draft, UFA's or trade youth for youth. Let's not take on anybody elses problem. ie Vancouver having Luongo tied up for the next 10 years. If we want a goalie from them I'd rather have their backup.

The whole "losing atmosphere" concern Burke promised to allieviate when he was brought in hasn't been this bad in quite some time. Sure, lose games and get a better draft pick, but lose them while learning and growing as team towards next year. Show flashes of brilliance, work harder, try every shift, show something... ****.

This sad exucuse for a hockey team shouldn't be allowed to play more than one game like they don't give a **** let alone more than a month of on and off effort. Teams in the recent past have never mailed it in as bad as these guys (even the team that finished 2nd last in the league looked like they cared more on most nights).

Hartnell has no reason to fight Phaneuf. No reason to risk injury on Phaneuf.

I want my best defenseman to play like our best defenseman ... Not a skating pylon.

If he doesn't want to fight plugs, then don't act like a tough guy. Its that simple, i have no problem if you don't fight, but dont' act like a tough guy and pick spots when you fight.

If he wants to fight Hartnell just drop the gloves ... dont' pretend you are going to drop it. Its a disgrace.

Good to see the Blue Jays chants going because I, along with many others are pretty excited for them so hopefully they do well and fans show up.

I would have liked to see some sort of effort. I'll give credit to Dion for trying to get his team going but man, they've all checked out mentally.

I think the top 5 pick is pretty much a guarantee now.

Maybe the psychology of the entire current team and creating the confidence and swagger you need to win in this league is more important than a crap shoot at one player?

So you are saying any tough player should drop the gloves with plugs?

I don't see david Backes doing that. I don't see Weber doing that. I dont see Chara doing that.

Colborne has not been the same since being sent down by the Leafs. He played well enough to stay and yet he was sent back....and has not been the same.

You're going to argue last year's hopeless playoff push is the reason they fell apart this year? Really?

Tbf, Columbus wouldn't accept half the roster for Rick Nash unless you move the prospects that you need to keep.

Exactly ! Hartnell is Phillys leading goal scorer, he certainly don't need to fool with fighting this time of season.....I gotta say that i feel for you Toronto fans, i truly hope that somehow things can get straightened out out and start heading in the right direction....As an outsider [Flyers fan] i honestly do not think Kessel is a "leader" type player. He is a fine player, but just not cut from the same cloth as many leader types are.He seems to be much better suited as a complimentary type player with great skills...

Good, we don't want Nash for more than one guy. He's overpaid and has to pick it up to be worth trading for.
