Hal Skill never played a playoff game for the Leafs.

Hopefully but what a logjam at 77 there's like 4 teams just 2 points ahead of us.

"Tanking" for a better pick sounds great on the surface, but it doesn't guarantee results.
We've been through a few years where they won to finish the season.

Don't worry about the carryover, and many of these players shouldn't be on the team to start next year anyway.

Desjardins estimates that about 40% of the game is captured by Corsi analysis.

when is hartnell and simmonds become a plug??? LOL
WHyyyyy are people acting like schenn is a baby needing to be coddled. Phaneuf gave him a shove and the flyers want his head yet when the opposition pick on our young players they're applauded (Neil on Schenn, Neil on Ashton, Hartnell on Aulie..but backfired, etc).

we've gone on winning streaks at the end of the year for the last 5-6 season's which havent translated into anything the following season so I doubt losing a couple would have no effect aswell.

He is 100 per cent correct if he is referring to the roster on the night the Flyers eliminated them from the playoffs.

As for the regular season, those four are still active. I'm not sure if Bryan McCabe is still an active player. Not sure if he counts. Kyle Wellwood played one game for them and Carlo Coliavacco played two games. They are both still active.

i dont' expect him to be like Wendel and fight all comers, but fight guys like Neal/Simmonds/Hartnell/Lucic etc.

what i see is him picking his spots in fights, he doesn't answer the bell ..thats the bottom line.

Provide some leadership some spark for your team when it counts, not when its 7-1 and you pick on a 20 year old that is the brother of one of your respectable teamates.

This "translation" to next season thing is so out there it's not even funny. It doesn't exist!

For example Montreal took Boston to game 7 overtime last year, and what do they have to show for it this year?

Lucic might be a bit much, but I agree with this. The problem is Phaneuf has to fight everyone because after Brown, this team is super soft.

Can Burke and co. make it any more obvious that they're tanking the rest of the season? Good Lord.

I do feel for any tougher player on this team. There is no back up from your teammates

I don't understand who the goons are in the last few back and forth comments about Phaneuf, Brayden Schenn, Hartnell, and Simmonds.

The only instance I saw of any goonery was Brown trying to get Hartnell to go - because Brown is a Rinaldo type player - just older and slower.

The only real goon out there tonight was Rosehill I guess. Why even dress that moron when they already know Shelley isn't in the lineup. I assume that decision is up to Carlyle - but why dress Rosehill - is there nobody skilled on the Marlies? Laviolette seems to have wised up and stopped dressing Shelley in favor of Wellwood - who is twice the player that Shelley is.

What's funny is Yakupov and Galchenyuk both play for Sarnia Sting. Basically it'd be a dream come true if we can replace the Leafs with the core from an OHL team lol
