Wow just saw this. I can't believe Fort Wayne made the move to the ECHL, didn't know Evansville's building had been open since last November, and not surprised that lower minor league hockey once again failed in Chicago.

I went to an Express game, and it was empty. you have to realize that it is not in Chicago, it is in the way northwest suburbs and would be an easy 45 minutes from downtown. As it is, it was 40 minutes for me in Aurora/Naperville.
Its right off 90, but a decent distance from everything.

The Chicago hitmen of the NA3HL folded also, and that was in the arena that the old Chicago Steel played, and where crowds come to watch my mens league.

How I see next year's roster.

Tedenby - K. Zajac - Pesonen
Wiseman - Zalewski - Anderson
Hoeffel - Wohlberg - Sislo
Nagy - Sestito - Perkovich/Someone else

Gelinas - Corrente
Urbom - McPherson
Kelly - Harrold
Burlon

Kinkaid
Wedgewood
Frazee

I expect one or two more depth signings. I don't expect Gionta to be back (Montreal) or Zharkov.

That's a good team. We'll see who impress at training camp.

He only didn't receive a QO, doesn't mean he still wont be with Albany.

I know McPherson got an ATO last season, but doesn't he need to sign an AHL contract or ELC?

I think it's just a numbers game with Nagy. Better prospects (Wohlberg) need playing time in Albany so there's just no room.

He's young enough to catch on at another pro level, more than likely the ECHL.
