Probably best to rest/heal Daniel as long as possible... With the way teams play the Sedins (and the refs allow), need to be completely confident that Daniel's concussion is healed 100%, IMO... Bottom line for me is the Canucks don't need Daniel to beat the Kings (obviously, better though with him)...
Heard the reports on team 1040 as well, I remain skeptical that he won't play tonight, Friday at the latest.
Too many contraindications, seems like people covering eachothers their ***** to avoid a fine from the NHL, or at the very least to keep the Kings guessing.
I think Friday is more likely than an setback at this point. He skated hard for two days, shut it down for one day, and will hopefully be ready to go on Thursday. If he's not on the ice tomorrow I'll be very concerned.

To speak more about this, just because there is a NHL 'protocol', it does not mean its a rigid schedule. It may just be general guidelines such as gradually increase exercise intensity, and rest if symptoms return.
The exact workout schedule would be determined on case by case basis, which may include planned days off.
