Maybe he's just too intimidated by the Kings.

Probably best to rest/heal Daniel as long as possible... With the way teams play the Sedins (and the refs allow), need to be completely confident that Daniel's concussion is healed 100%, IMO... Bottom line for me is the Canucks don't need Daniel to beat the Kings (obviously, better though with him)...

Ben Kuzma‏ @benkuzma
Vigneault on Daniel Sedin's father saying the winger suffered a headache Monday and is not ready to play. "There's nothing new to report."
11:28 AM - 11 Apr 12

More Vigneault on D. Sedin: "We've got the total picture. We know what's going on and we're not sharing that. It's a unique injury."

More Vigneault on D. Sedin: "He's not going to play tonight. I don't know if the information his father said is totally true."

Helene Elliott ‏ @helenenothelen:
We know what's going on. We're not going to share it." end of Vigneault on Daniel Sedin

Vigneault wouldn't address Swedish media reports that cited father as saying Daniel had headaches Monday. 'we've got the total picture

And usually it's impossible to get the "total picture" with concussions.

Hey Keith, if I were you I'd keep my head up whenever Torres is on the ice. Just saying. (I actually have no clue if Torres was any friendly with Danny but who knows lol)

I wonder if Chicago fans still believe that Daniel's faking his injury. **** you Duncan Keith! I hope Raffi Torres knocks out his remaining teeth.

Just thinking about Daniel's concussion gives me a headache.

Not just Chicago fans. There was a Canucks poster who continually "speculated" that Daniel was exaggerating the severity of the injury.

That's probably good advice no matter the circumstances when Torres is on the ice.

Good to see AV has graduated from throwing his players under the bus to throwing family members under as well.

Rift?

Since the Leafs have not made the play-offs since the lockout...

The NHL media access policy requires all players who participated in the regular team practise to be made available to the media for a certain period of time following the practise.

It's too bad "The NHL media access policy" did not put the on ice officials in the same spot. I wonder what kind of headaches the NHL would have, if they did.

Heard the reports on team 1040 as well, I remain skeptical that he won't play tonight, Friday at the latest.
Too many contraindications, seems like people covering eachothers their ***** to avoid a fine from the NHL, or at the very least to keep the Kings guessing.

Apples and orangutans.

The NHL has very clear policies on media access to officials - there is none.

Yes Id agree.

To speak more about this, just because there is a NHL 'protocol', it does not mean its a rigid schedule. It may just be general guidelines such as gradually increase exercise intensity, and rest if symptoms return.

The exact workout schedule would be determined on case by case basis, which may include planned days off.

Can you imagine how loud he is going to be booed when he plays his next game at Rogers? It will be downright Pronger-esque!
