I think it's safe to say it is a concussion. He can't even fly on the plane to LA.

Huh? You mean Daniel Sedin? They diagnosed it as a concussion weeks ago now.

Canucks.com says Daniel is done for this series.
If the Canucks were hoping for a white knight in the form of Daniel Sedin to help them get back in this series, they are going to be sorely disappointed. It was reported yesterday that not only did Daniel not travel with the team to Los Angeles but, after looking like he might be ready to return at the start of this series, he will not be available for the entire first round for however longer it might lasts.

I think the team wanted to get rid of the distraction IMO. So they just announced it now with the team down 0-2.

They were probably expecting there was a legitimate chance Daniel could be back for game 2 and/or that we would be tied 1-1. Hindsight 20-20 on your comment.

@vancanucks: Daniel Sedin will join #Canucks for full team practice in LA on Tuesday. Coach Vigneault to comment shortly.
Interesting.

I doubt he plays but it will be nice for him to be with his teammates in case they are eliminated. Win as a team, lose as a team.

Will Daniel bring some of Vancouver water to spill on the ice?

Just dress him and put him on the bench. He'll only play 1:30 less than Weise.

Could this be what Bieksa meant when he said "spotting them a few"?

With the continued epidemic of these types of injuries spreading around the game, its absolutely astonishing that the NHL still allows hard plastic, Kevlar, or Carbon fibre type materials on any equipment above the waste and below the helmet. equipment used to be designed to protect the player wearing it, without becoming a weapon used against the opposition. I don't see why we cant go back to that situation.

He won't play Wednesday. I just don't see how he could. Sunday is looking like a real possibility though, lets just hope this team can win one in LA and give us a sporting chance.

If there is no chance of him playing game 4, why would they fly him down now given the break between games 4&5? He could continue to skate at home as he has been, join teamates in Vancouver for Sunday's game (if we win game 4) if that was the earliest possible time he could play.

There has to be a chance he plays game 4.

Points more to the assumption that they declared him done so he wouldn't be a distraction. There is a chance he'll play, but it's FAR FAR from a gaurentee.

Yes, that too. Some posters seemed to be suggesting no chance he plays game 4, that game 5 would be the earliest possible come back game. But, for him to be flying down and practicing tomorrow, one has to deduce he'll play if he's symptom free during and after practice.
