In related news Kesler is still having trouble with his hip. Expected news considering his skating hasn't been at the same level as last season, resulting a massive drop in production and general effectiveness.
Still a very good player but far from being that dominating force that he was last season. Wonder if he can get back to that level? Now 2 major hip surgeries in his career, 8½ months passed after the last one and still feeling it.
"It's still an ongoing thing. It still tightens up. They [surgeons] tightened up the front of the hip capsule so much that you get some pain and the trainers do a good job of keeping it loose and stretching and keep on top of the strengthening. The hip flexor almost pulls the femoral head forward and gives you a problem."
Bieksa and Schneider have to be the two best interviews on the team.
For almost completely opposite reasons.
Schneider is a well-spoken, insightful and funny interview
Bieksa is snarky and sarcastic, but always speaks his mind and throws in some wit. Great stuff.
Worst interview on the team now that Hodgson's gone goes to Chris Tanev... but it's because he's so shy and not used to the spotlight, so I'll give him a pass.

Has Tanev ever even spoken to a journalist? I don't remember ever reading any kind of interview from him.

OT - Mogilny seemed to have the same type of sarcastic humor as Bieksa. Kind of miss those days where most players didn't give the same canned responses to interview questions.

Henrik deserves a mention. He's no Bieksa in an interview, but can still have funny moments (mostly, if not always, while making fun of Daniel), though it's his sharper critiques of the league as well as media narratives where he shows his intelligence and insight.
Just upper-body at this point in time, and I wouldn't expect anything else but a possible timeline for a return. Even then, at least we have the depth to fill in for Kass for the time being.

Yup, AV says he's in play-off mode already regarding injuries. Kassian has an upper-body injury and is day-to-day. Then AV stated everyone is day-to-day
