Thanks Jets for a Great Season!

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

First!
Would be nice to win this one.
I think Mason should play, he's been stuck on the bench while we made our playoff push but now its time to get him some ice time. I hoped he'd play 2 of our final 5.
Kane scores number 30 and 31
Jets win 5-3

Sloppy secon.....
Never mind, got Avery in too much trouble.

Nice GDT HC

9-3 Jets.

- Kane scores his 30th,
- Bogo hits someone really hard and the Canes complain about it to the refs but won't make eye contact with Bogo.
- Skinner dives a few times convincingly.
- Ladd gets high sticked (seems to happen every game)
- Both teams compare tee times with each other. Someone asks for advise on how to fix their slice.

Hopefully Mase starts.

When the game begins, I think he'll "Feel So Good".

If he gets a shutout, he'll be on "Top of the World".

If he allows a soft goal, he'll just "Breathe, Stretch, Shake" it off.

He's an experienced veteran playing on his fourth team so he's "Been Around the World".

Since he's a UFA, he'll be playing for a new contract and "Mo Money Mo Problems".

Ya know I just wanna say, not really sure where I'm going with this so forgive me lol , but it's kinda cool that two cities as far apart as Raleigh and Winnipeg are connected through not only this sport, but what appears to be a pretty healthy rivalry.

I've been a Whalers//Canes fan since the 80's so I have a long standing hatred of the Rangers//Sabres//Caps & Panthers, but in less than one year ya'll have made that short list to.

So in closing, before I start to sound even more stupid , all I have to say is that I hate you. But good luck nonetheless

What are the odds of Buffalo and Caps tanking and us winning every game now!

I want the Jets to win. I really do. Particularly given their shameful showing lately at home.

But.... we have 78 points, and there are four teams with 77 points.

Is it wrong to look at draft position with a certain sort of optimism?

Interesting feeling this morning. Still looking forward to the game but not with the same "I can't wait...lets get started" feeling. I'm also a little torn between finishing strong and getting a better draft pick. As of this morning we would have 10th pick. however we sit with 78 points and their are 4 teams with 77. Somehow it would be nice to win a couple down the strech but still get passed by those teams and get 6th pick. Then some lottery luck and we are sitting at # 2. Then we just might get that first line forward we really need.

Being out of the playoffs, we might as well have our cake and eat it to.

Looking forward to this game. Maybe not in a "we really need this game to make the playoffs" sort of way, but I really want to soak up the remaining games before the season is over. It's time to appreciate the fact that we have an NHL team again (irregardless of not making the playoffs).

I hope we play well to close out the season so guys can come into TC with the sense that they are building on something. That being said, with 3 or so teams a 1 point behind us, there is a silver lining I guess to losing a couple down the stretch.

I'll never cheer for losing (unlike some fanbases that will remain nameless), but I won't lose sleep over a loss either.

Win or lose, I'm just going to enjoy watching these last few games of the season. It's really that simple for me. My mind is also beginning to focus on the offseason, the draft and next season. I already feel myself getting a little more critical in my observations, and that makes it all more real as this honeymoon season is winding down and coming to a close.

Like I said in the post game thread the other night, this isn't the end, it's just the beginning.

why thank you (no sarcasm) .........12 months ago I could have only dreamed of being hated by another NHL fan base......so much more "alive" now than the 15 year pity party

I will say that I now have a healthy level of distain for Washington that didn't exist 12 months ago and the fact you guys beat us in our house and kind of finished us off for the year and Staal trolled us (we were axking for it "x" is always used on the TV show COPS by the trash) by jumping up on the glass after his goal and letting out the hight pitched in your face scream. I am not all the way there yet on my hate for you but I am working on it. Bit of a set back when you hired Muller since I am a big fan of his.

see you tonight and next year

Great GDT!
I notice that Evander is the only player not saluting the crowd in the last pic.
Trade Him! He must hate all Winnipeggers!!!
