There must be something in the water. First the reporter in Toronto, now the Sharks guy...

Drew is awesome.. and obviously passionate.. and a definite finger on the pulse of the team..
great guy.. great response...
reminds me of many situations of people in Vancouver unable differentiate the process vs the big picture vs immediate results vs stat lines etc..

It's Ray Ratto, he would say the exact same thing if the Sharks had the presidents trophy already locked up.

As for what Remenda said?I disagree that the coaching staff is great. Our assistants are next to useless.

Yes, he's a Detroit homer. Quite literally. Every year the Sharks play the Red Wings in the playoffs it seems like he bets against the Sharks.

Remenda is a clown. Always has been. He's taking his anger out on a writer who simply stated the truth. "They Suck".

I dont think the writer was too far off on calling out the Sharks. Now, I havent read the guys entire body of work so he may just be a Shark troll. The Canucks have plenty of their own writers who do the same.

I dont think they realize that the Sharks werent going to win and dominate their division forever.

"If you're a cup contender, win the game!"

Maybe you're not cup contenders? Both these guys look pretty silly honestly.

Oh god he comes off as nothing but a Sharks mouthpiece. their record speaks for itself, they were comfortably ahead in the division, and turned into the Sharks early this year

Ratto is a highly respected writer, Drew intentionally took him out of context

Ray Ratto is a blowhard. Always has been and always will be. I've always hated the guy..way before he did postgame for the Sharks.

Remenda is such a ridiculous fanboy. I listen to him on AM680 doing the Sharks report with Razor and Mr. T every week here in SF, and I think I can count on one hand the number of times I've heard him even suggest the Sharks aren't playing well this season. Every week it's "the effort is there, they're just not getting results", "I can see the fight in them, they just can't score right now", "all of these guys are having down years at the same time, what ya' gonna' do, it's just a statistical anomaly", etc. Truth is, they traded away some crucial offense and can't make up for it. Setoguchi was more important than they realized. They are starting to get older and they are a slowish team in a very competitive conference. They have not performed like a playoff team since January, and if they don't make it, it will be because they are not good enough, plain and simple. They need to make some changes. IMO, this team is quickly becoming too slow to compete.

He is. It's shocking how little he's had to say about any of the real problems this team is having this year. It's constantly about "bad luck" and "unexplainable events". Truth is, there are serious holes on offense - that's on management. There is and often has been a very blase attitude about the regular season, which has been apparent for a few years now - that's on the coaching staff (Remenda would NEVER criticize Mclellan - they let him sit in on their video review sessions, and he wouldn't want to lose that privilege).

He seems like a nice guy, and he knows the game, but he has been a bit insufferable this season with the constant excuses.

Remenda may well be a homer fanboy, but Ray Ratto acts like a spoiled child in that clip. This is what you get when a team does REALLY well in the regular season for a good number of seasons, and then comes down to earth a little. Comments from "professional" journalists like "JUST WIN THE GAME!". The Canucks media is the same whenever we lose a few games in a row.

Wow, if it were that easy, wouldn't everyone "just win the game"??

I guess you missed later in the show when Ratto pretty much retracted his statement. Im not saying Remenda isn't a homer, of course he is. He's around the team more than Ratto is so that's why I think he was so pissed.

Ugh I don't know how Canucks fans can listen to Sportsnet West every night after a loss. Valk makes me wanna hit my head on a table.
