IMO the fact that you put Semin, Kovalev and Kostitsyn (either one) in same category says more about you than it does about them. Each of these players is very different from the rest.

It's funny seeing some posters say they wouldn't touch Semin with a 10 foot pole but on the other hand drafting Grigorenko is a no brainer. Semin is a more gritty player with similar skill level to Grigorenko.

Garrison will be asking for a lot of money, but i'd take a chance on him. Jackman or Grossman are good options on D as well.

On forward i'd see about getting Stoll or Doan, Prust.

Bury gomez.

8 mil/yr Ryan Suter.7 years. 56Million dollars. If not 7 years 60 million.

We dont need parise as much as we need suter. I'll argue that till the end of days.

If not, Dennis Wideman top of list.

We need a #1 25minute defenceman who can play against top lines. PK needs to be playing against 3-4th lines to show off his offensive poweress. Hes not going to be doing that when hes consistently focusing on defence.

Suter Kaberle
Markov Georges
Emelin PK

I agree with you. If we add Suter to Markov, Subban, Kaberle and Gorges, we will have one of the best D-corp in the league. Markov is our true #1 and with all the injuries he's had, we need piece of mind and add a guy that can take his spot (on top of Subban, as Subban alone is not sufficient as we have lost guys like Hamrlik and the Wiz).

Suter is a no brainer, however every single team will most probably offer him a contract

Francis Bouillon would also be a welcomed addition to our team.

Not many cap teams have the space to do it. Dropping Gomez will enable us too. ITs obvious we need to overpay due to the teams position in the standing and our taxes. But seriously who's going to refuse 8.5 million dollars a year for 7 years ? Front load that bi.tch too.

People seem to forget Brad Richards

Tons of teams tried for him, but the guy was ALWAYS gonna sign with the Rangers. He picked his destination early in the process and we all knew it.

You could offer Suter whatever you want, but if other teams come close to it, there is no guarantee we'll sign him.

I'd make an offer, but putting all our eggs in the Suter basket would be a huge mistake. Gotta have a plan B.

Suter is probably gonna get offers from Minnesota (an area he knows very well), Nashville (attraction of resigning/being loyal), Detroit (join one of the best organizations in Hockey), Vancouver (again top notch organization and contender) plus maybe a southern team or two (Anaheim, Tampa)...

Why does he pass on those to play for a 28/29th place team, in a city with immense pressure, with higher taxes, and crappy weather.

Semin was noticeable in the playoffs against us. Just that his 44 shots were all stopped by Halak. Game 5-6-7 he had respectively 9-7-8 shots. He was far from invisible like you seem to think. Watch the highlights, he had many many scoring chances, he just didn't capitalize because of Halak. Also playing almost 16 min/20 shifts its hardly being benched.

The guy can score 40 goals and can be use on the PK.

You cannot have 12 Cole in a team. A player that score around 1 goal every two games, decent defensively will help a team no matter what.

The only player from my list I can say at 100% will leave his organization is Olli Jokinen. Getting rid of Bourque and taking him in would be a welcomed swap.

This type of player would be my priority with Grossman my 1st choice. More physical play from a player with size and solid defensively on the blueline.

1/3 of the teams can't afford the salary he will command.
1/3 are already tight to the cap so adding him might mean having to move other key players.
1/3 I'm sure will be in the mix.

I think we are a longshot, but definitely worth a shot. May need good PR from our US guys and our new GM to help us.

I'd be very happy with Semin and Grossman or Jackman for about 10 mil cap hit.

Where do you fit him? Other than size he would be a downgrade over Plekanec or Desharnais.

Parenteau is not a glorified 3rd liner. Although I agree he'll cost too much for what he'll bring.

Doan will never wear a habs uniform and I doubt Proust will leave NYR.

Gun for Parise with a ridiculous offer, he'll probably won't take it... doesn't mean we absolutely need to sign another forward. That was Gainey's idiotic mentality. We'll most probably have one of the big 4 in the draft wich gives us another Top 6 forward and Gionta will be back.

Try to trade for Getzlaf, Radulov or Nash if we fail, just sign a guy like Whitney for 1 year.

Absolutely sign one of the Top 4 physical defensive UFA defenceman available.

First you need to look at what you have to offer...

Radulov is of limit. He is RFA. He is already stated it is Preds or Russia.

Suter will not sign with canadian team. Period.

Parise is staying put in NJ. Book it.

Habs wasn't on Nash's list this trade deadline.

If Suter hits FA, he's going to Philly. Philly wants to replace Pronger and they were heavily rumored at the deadline to be wanting to trade for him. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if Philly traded for him at the draft and signed him before July 1st like they've done to other Nashville players in the past.

How do you know all this? Please, with all your inside knowledge, just tell us who will sign where so we won't have to wait until July 1st.

Thanks!

Source?

Yes he's going to be RFA but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't mid joining another team in the near future, especially one with Markov, Emelin, Grigorenko or Yakupov.

Very pertinent, until you realise he's signed an extension this winter.

Markov, Emelin, Subban, Gorges, Kaberle. We really need to sign a shutdown defenseman. Diaz will be #7. Trade Weber for something at the draft.
