Pretty obvious since the Wings home wining streak was broken, they lost the urge to play hard. Mailed in the season after that point and once injuries hit they had an excuse to not try to win games.

Useless effort. Disgusting effort.

Is Babcock still getting though to the team? It's the first time I've started to question it.

What's the difference between this team and the one that couldn't lose at home earlier in the season?

lol @ haters for criticizing Hudler for scoring, when he was one of the most engaged players of the night.

Franzen skated like he was Cleary tonight.

Lately I'm usually too distracted during the games by how bad the game itself is getting to think about what the team is doing particularly right or wrong. As obstruction comes back into the game to a greater degree, Detroit will be hurt more than most teams.

I seriously wished they would have played this bad since new year so they would miss the playoffs - maybe even be in the draft lottery, that would ****ing open Ken Holland's eyes...

As long as detroit makes the playoffs he will stand pat with his beliefs that veterans are the best and keep re-signing all the old sucking players

No emotion, no speed. Holland needs to do something and quickly after the season ends. Lids is really really slow like Hudson is.

Intensity isnt there. They played had to keep the streak going. Once the streak died, they lost motivation to play hard.

I guess going to game seven against the Sharks last season screwed the Wings completely since Holland was able to use that as an example that the Wings were still competitive.

How awesome it would be if they just got rid of:
Franzen
Hudler
Cleary
Bertuzzi
Holmstrom
Lidstrom (sorry captain, your time is up, can't deny it)
Emmerton
Quincey

How come Holland has to be so ****ing loyal to each and everyone, just trade the underperforming slow veterans and irrelevant players, there's no need to have them. All the players feel so safe with their place, they know the GM don't do roster trades so they know they can float for weeks and at worse they will get scratched for 1 game then back to floating again

First time in a while where I feel we are really just a middle-of-the-road playoff team for which 2nd round would be a success.

And it's by design if it is, didn't take the chance in July or at the deadline to do anything to make this a better team.

This is the team that will be eliminating us from the playoffs. Not trying to take on the "the sky is falling" persona, just an honest opinion.
