Is he available and whats his value?
Coming from a sabres fan what would it take?
Would Roy+Leopold+ be close

Roy could be a stopgap in the #1/#2 center slot.

Throw in Brayden McNabb & Luke Adam and we'll fax back a quick trade confirmation to your offices ASAP; we'll even send you a third round pick back as a bonus just for calling.

Chevy wants Wpg to get bigger;Roy's a good player, but I don't think that's the way we'd go.

So the fact that this many fans have interest in Toby, are the GMs the same way?

I agree; he'd probably be acceptable though as a one or two season stopgap if sizable young prospects like Adam and McNabb were added to sweeten the deal. Adam is from St John's; I'm guessing a finishing stint there wouldn't hurt his outlook. Mcnabb is from Saskatoon and is right on the cusp of filling a lower D role in the bigs.

So some people think we could make a deal, but the first 2 comment seemed to think it was way off?
I would definately part with a Roy+Leopold+Adam package for Enstrom

Enstrom is a polarizing guy here... You will never ever get a consensus on this site for his value

Yup garret9 this is one of the most accurate posts written since the Winnipeg board launched

My hopes are by the end of next season we have consensus on Toby in a good way and that he isn't wearing another teams uniform when we have the meeting of the minds

How 'bout we just re-sign him so that we have two top pairing defensemen for years to come? We have young centers who could turn into #1's given time.

I hope so. Time for him to find a home in a different organization.

Lol.

You want Enstrom? Start with Myers and Hodgson, then add more.

Sir, you seem lost and confused. Are you thinking of Crosby? It's common to get him and Enstrom mixed up, they are both hockey players after all.

Enstrom is better than any player Buffalo has. Myers can only dream that he'll be as good as Enstrom some day. Hodgson has MAJOR issues with character, but he's high risk, high reward. Enstrom is a solid #1 defenseman on most teams in this league. He rarely makes any mistakes. He's an incredible skater and puck handler. He struggled with injuries this year, but if he can stay healthy, he's a top five to ten defenseman in this league.

Enstrom is worth more than both.

Trading away Enstrom would require a #1 center or blue chip prospect coming our way and I don't think Buffalo has a # 1 center. Sure Luke Adam, Cody Hodgson, and Tyler Ennis are intriguing players but I don't think any of them would provide vastly superior numbers over Bryan Little.

I could see a multi-player deal Like Enstrom and Little for Hodgson and Drew Stafford but it wouldn't make sense on Buffalo's end as they need more scoring wingers.

Overall, I think we could get a better deal somewhere else for Enstrom.

It is perhaps theoretically possible that he'll grow six or eight inches taller and add fifty or sixty pounds in weight during that period; seems highly unlikely though. Some of us might just find it difficult to envision that one of the smaller teams in the league, a team additionally poised to eventually move into a division and conference that features much larger players than they currently face BTW, would include one of the smallest d-men in the league in its forward planning.

Ennis would be a great player to pick up. There probably would have to be more chips in play then just Enstrom and Ennis.....but I feel Ennis has been progressing rapidly the last two seasons and should be a 20+ goal scorer a season in the near future.

His point total of 34 in 48 games this past season would put him in 6th for forward scoring on the Jets. Obviously he playes on a different team, different dynamics etc etc but he could move up to the 1st or 2nd line and thus move ladd down to a hardnose forchecking line in which he excels.
