Win win for me.

If Barrie wins game seven , then it will have been a gritty , tough 7 game series that will be invaluable for experience as well. Then they move on deeper into the playoffs, again a real positive in the developmental process.

Play off experience at the pro level would be a great end of season stamp. Both players would see the level of play required for success imo. Could see them being linemates but you have to be mindful of team chemistry as well.

Agree 100% on the 2nd part. Would be a great experience for them to get a chance to play against much stronger opponents in an IceCaps playoff series.

On the 1st part: I'm an eternal optimist, and belive that the Colts will finish off with a win against the 67's. We'll see soon enough - hoping they do, but would also like to see Scheif and Telegin get a bit of AHL experience too.

Scheifele and Telegin joining the IceCaps would be great situation for everyone (except Dale Hawerchuk ). Both would get some valuable pro experience and the IceCaps would become a deeper team.

Looks like Telegin is done for the night. Pretty innocent play, he just got bumped from behind and fell on his leg/ankle funny. He had two teammates helping him off the ice at the end of the period.

And Scheifele continues to take a beating from everyone. He was going to argue an offside and got nailed, then when he got up Monahan grabbed his jersey and started tugging him around.

Thanks for the update. Hope Telegin is alright. Sounds like this has been a really tough series... good experience for the kids I suppose.

Avis commercial on Ottawa radio station The Team 1200 laments that even beautiful topical Winnipeg is a destination for travellers renting their vehicles. Heard during Barrie Colts vs Ottawa 67's game.

What a CRAZY game in Ottawa! 21s left, 67's score. About to switch the channel, and with 8s left, BOOM! Scheifele pots one. Unbelievably clutch! EDIT: just watched the replay again on his goal, and the hand-eye coordination on that goal was immense. Batted it out of the air and straight into the net as it was coming down after a rebound.

Going to be a very interesting OT.

Very unfortunate for Telegin - hurt his knee in the 1st, and it didn't look good.

Sharp angle shot from the corner/boards, and 67's seal the deal. Colts are out of the playoffs. Final 4-3 67's over Colts.

EDIT: Colts improved +51 pts over last season.

Darnit! Ah well. A great playoff run for our prospects. Team gutted by injuries, playing huge minutes and getting keyed in on hard, they carried the Colts this far. Really valuable experience for them.

Well, at least they gave the 67's a hard battle, extending the series into OT in 7 games.

Scheif may be the only possibility of going to St.John's.

Yep, and yep - agree on both points. Telegin did NOT look good when he was helped off the ice. I'm not sure why they let him sit on the bench for the rest of the 1st period - it was pretty obvious he wasn't going to get back into the game.

Will be very interesting to see Scheifele in St Johns, if he decides to go. He's taken a beating, but fought 'till the last second (almost literally )

Psyched to see Scheifele in St.John's! Here's hoping for a deep run on the island, as a former Sens fan the B-Sens playoff run was really fun to follow.

Too bad for the Colts, but definitely can't fault Scheifele and Telegin. They were looking like Crosby and Malkin out there (maybe a slight exaggeration ).

Hopefully both can join up with the IceCaps.

Too bad for Scheifele and Telegin. Like what I've been hearing about Scheifele battling through all the abuse and tieing it up.

Really don't like hearing about the injury to Telegin. It would be nice for both of them to get experience in St. John's.

That's quite a turn around from last year. Imagine what might have been if the team was healthy going into the play-offs. That kid Ekblad is going to be a beast. Sounds like he never comes off the ice.

Yeah, he's pretty impressive. Just turned 16, and he'd be one of the larger d-men that the Jets have if he were on their roster. He's going to be a monster - he's already 6' 2", and 210'ish pounds. Skates well, and has very good hockey vision. You'd never know he was that young.

You know what is great about Mark is that no matter what happened and how bad he was abused he kept going to the dirty areas and not backing down. So many guys would have been forced out to the perimeter but Scheif was relentless while getting pounded....never quit, never gave up and kept going into the traffic areas to get results. I love those kind of guys and they tend to get allot of points.....sweet hands and courage is a lethal combination

Ekblad was actually 6'3" 210 when he was drafted last May. I think he's even bigger than that now.

Wow, what an emotionally draining series. Time to look forward to next year...
