How soon do we find out if Scheifele and Telegin will be joining the IceCaps?

If either of them are going to be joining the Icecaps, we will probably hear about it today or Thursday by the latest.

If they do join the IceCaps are they still eligible to play in junior next season?

Telegin would have to play as an overager in the OHL , he is eligible to play in the AHL next season and that is likely where he plays , barring a training camp where he doesn't allow you to send him down.

Yuen is a plus/minus stud.

+41 in his draft year and +45 this year. I'm not a proponent of plus/minus being the be all and end all, but numbers like that have to be saying something positive.

Anyone know his plus/minus in the playoffs?

Also, Don't know if this was posted a year ago, but I was searching for his stats and found this article before draft day:

He was right around even before yesterdays game I believe.

He led the league in +/- didn't he? More intense playoff experience for him with them winning the series , that is a plus.

He should really have a solid year next year , looks like he has a chance to play significant minutes in the NHL down the road, very good pick it seems.

Thanks for the link. I started looking for info on him when I noticed his stats several weeks ago but I couldn't find much. I started a thread for him in the WhL section, only got a few posts from fans that have been watching him, but it was very positive stuff. Anyways I'm pretty excited about him. Seems like a winner.

Thanks for the update Canadienjet!

Would it be correct to assume that Redmond would be the first D man to fill in should the need arise? Seems like he had a good season. Is it just a case of really good depth there?

Not counting role (scorer, checker, etc), would O'Dell be the 1st forward to come in? Seems like he had a good end to the season.

On another note, I think it's good to see Cormier play on the wing. It would really help his versatility and ability to stick with the Jets if he could play both centre and wing. Even at wing, he could still take draws if need be.

One last thing, IF Scheifele and Telegin (assume healthy) were both added to the roster, where do you think they would fit in?

Just happend not to be on the clear day roster in regards to Redmond.Alot of depth on D.

He will be first to get a call as he's clearly better then the other guys sitting out.

Have to be honest I think it's best for them both to go get ready for next season rather then come here. Both wouldn't play much to begin with and I'd rather send them home then have them waste away in the stands. If they were to play the 3rd line would be best right now but McCambridge put alot of thought into these lines only one was easy to put together was the fourth. If they were to be sent here it would have heppend by now.

I still dont know why they dont move Desantis to 4th line and draw in Redmond, just my opinion.Having 7 d on clear day can be good and bad.

No word on Scheifele but im assuming hes prob in Syracuse and practicing with the team, just no release.I expect him in the lineup possable by game 3.At the end of the day were a development team and Winnipeg who will be here watching will want their top prospect seeing time,so i fully expect to see Scheifele in are lineup

How is sending Scheifele home doing nothing, better then having him playing or even at practice,I dont see how sitting at home is a benifit to him.Im assuming all Jets brass will be here, and their is no way this kid anit coming

Thanks for the clarification , it is just that Machcek played RW here and Cormier was a LW. Not a big deal but I haven't noticed them playing off wings before and tend to think they slot in as that for the Jets.

Redmond is on the clear day roster, he can go in and take a D out as a healthy. O'Dell, Gregoire, Negrin, Chiarot, Carrozzi, Clark, Maxwell can only play in the place of an injured player. As ATO's O'Neill, Melchiori can go in for a healthy player. As junior players Scheifele and Telegin could go in for a healthy player.

Scheifele and Telegin will be in the lineup if they are healthy. They were only eliminated less than 2 days ago, not sure how it would have happened already? Clark and Murray would be my guesses to come out if they both show up. Those two would be HUGE for the IceCaps, a third line of Klingberg-Scheifele-Telegin, wow, that would be a dominant AHL line.

Hopefully they jettison some veterans next year so O'Dell, Gregoire, Redmond are not healthy scratches in playoffs

have there been any updates on Telegin's injury status?

I agree Holden that is a nice looking AHL third line and Scheifele and Telegin are coming off a very tough 2 rounds in the playoffs so they would be battle tested and ready to go (depending on health of both guys).

Would love to see that, if Scheifele goes, and Telegin is healthy and is sent to St Johns as well. Would probably pay for a round or two of streaming video to watch.

Huff, if you go to Zach's player profile, then press the "View Stats by Game" button you can see his game-by-game stats along with totals.

He's a +2 in 11 games so far this play-offs
