Barrie - 67's 1st OT over. Heading to 2nd OT.

16s left, the 67s managed to slip a puck through the 5-hole, and it slid ONTO the goal line. Barrie cleared it before it crossed. Very close.

Shots 61-36 for Ottawa after the 4th period. Barrie outshot 19-8 in the first OT! Niederberger is keeping them in it. How long can they hang on?

They look dead out there - Scheifele and Telegin are on every 2nd shift at this point.

The longer this thing goes on, the less likely the Colts can pull it off. Unless they get some type of lucky bounce.

That's the thing with a 2 line team that's turned into a 1 line team due to injuries.

Scheifele just took an ugly looking shot off the inside of his leg/ankle. Limped off.

Booyah! Telegin drops just over the blueline to Behenna, who buries a slapshot. Series tied 1-1 now.

Gotta had it to the boys, they hung in there. Good thing is the next two are in Barrie and they've won their game in Ottawa already.

Wow! Wish I had been able to see the Colts game -- sounds like Scheifele and Telegin are really stepping up their game hard. Awesome.

Nice to hear those guys can carry that team, even this far. Losing Pearson is huge. They essentially only have three threats healthy: Scheifele, Telegin, and Behenna, possibly the rookie defenseman Ekblad as well.

Going toe to toe with a team that has scoring depth like the 67's do is a big testament to there maturity and endurance.

It's nice to see their goalie steps up big too.

FYI this was not a 2 line team. Now we're down to a little more than 1, but hopefully get at least a couple of the forwards back on Monday. Scheifele, Telegin, Behenna, Ekblad, McNeill and Niederberger will sleep well on the bus ride home...especially the D - they went with 4 for the whole OT.

Meech returned today, made a big difference at both ends, won the hardest working player award. Lets hope he stays well

I've been to both 67's games.

Telegin is good, you guys got a steal, I think he can play in the show next year. His speed and hockey IQ are quite impressive. Always makes the right plays.

To the Barrie fans: Whats with that Ekblad kid? He won't be in this years draft, right? He seems to be playing good for a rookie.

He received exceptional player status, meaning he's allowed to play one year earlier than the rules normally allow (like Tavares).

I think he's a lock for 1st overall in his draft year. He's going to be an amazing defenseman.

Oh.

He would fit so well to our Barrie collection Little, Burmistrov, Scheifele, Telegin

Probably need a lottery pick (and maybe even win the lottery) to get Ekblad. I'm sure the Jets want to (had beter be) be doing better than that in three years time (Ekblad is 2014 draft eligible). Now, Tanner Pearson would look good in Barrie West Blue. With his injury he may fall to the 2nd round, where he would be a steal. The injury shouldn't have any long term effects, but has taken away his ability to shine in the playoffs...

I wouldn't mind taking Niederberger with one of our later picks. I didn't watch the Colts much during the season, but he put up some great stats.

Tanner Eberle is another player that might be worth taking a flyer on in the later rounds. I don't know if he's related to Jordan, but they're both from Regina and slightly undersized.

Edit: It turns out they're not related, but I still wouldn't mind taking him. He seems like a fiesty, ****-disturber forward.

It's crazy that Ekblad is only eligible in 2014. Kid looks like he's in his 20's with that beard.

It's becoming clear that the IceCaps will draw the Syracuse Crunch in the first round.Worried about that matchup.
