I love how just by reading this thread you can see who likes Murray and who likes Dumba without them actually saying so
I disagree with this. I honestly don't know who's a better hockey player or who projects to be better. However I will trust whoever the Oilers staff go with.

I hate to be Dumba's partner when he has a bad night - you'll hear the obvious "Dumba & ------".
It would be hilarious to have Ryan N-h, Ryan S, Ryan J, Ryan W and Ryan M all on the ice at the same time.
Easy for fans to pick a jersey... they'll save a few bucks because they don't have to get a number on it, and they can put Ryan on the back and cheer for whoever is playing well. Just rock a big blond mullet when you want to cheer for smyth, curly black for Jone-z, or a big cast on your foot when you want to cheer for Whitney, etc.

There is no Larsson in this years draft. Makes it hard.
I never really thought about it in those terms, but imo the route the Oil need to take is to draft Grigorenko and then trade him or Gagner for a d-man. I don't think there's a really good chance of getting a d-man who will be an impact player within 5 years from the nhl draft, this year or any other, and how long do we want to wait for a Cup? How long can we afford to keep all of our top 4 fwds?
If you wanted to draft a d-man and a center and have them develop together you'd have to take the d-man first imo. Eg, a d-man from Gagner's draft year and a center now would be good timing.
Problem is the center is so much more valuable, it's hard to not grab one when the opportunity is there. If you don't get a #1 c your re-build is a guaranteed failure.
