Yeah exactly. Hall did slip to #2 behind Seguin in 2010 in Central Scoutings final rankings. Dropping 1 spot isn't to shocking. The Dumba drop is though.

Personally, I wouldn't. I have no ties to the victims of what happened there (don't want to get into it too much but I'm sure everyone knows already anyways...), I know it's probably better for the kid to play hockey, get focused and heal that way, to try to forgive and move on, but what he did disgusted me. The whole story, his character, everything is thrown into question for me because of that. It's too early IMO. That was just terrible.

With Murray at 2. Columbus will also give him a second look.

IATL will love those rankings.

I thought galchenyuk was more like 6.2? they have him at 6.0.5.

Wow I don't tend to agree with CSS. Their European rankings are questionable. Andersson at 15, Tornkqvist at 28 and Lundberg at 44. Also Pokka over Bystrom??

I feel bad for anyone who is taking Colton Sissons at 14. I Have him in the middle of the second round. CSS looks like they completely dismiss potential and just rank players based on how good they look against each other as 17-18 year olds... Poor Samuelsson is at 75. :/

Its garbage.

They actually have Mitch Moroz ranked three spots above Henrik Samuelsson.

Looks like Maggie the Monkey could do a better job.

That's why I find it funny that people live and die by another persons rankings, not matter how important they are. So many contrasting opinions every which way. Every scout or fan sees something in one guy over the other.

Some dude on HF telling me this kid isn't as good as this kid isn't going to change my opinion on how I myself see him. Especially if they tell me ISS has this kid higher than that kid.

carried his team, 3g/5p on 6 everret goals in the playoffs, -2 while the team was outscored 17-6 (-11) and playing over half of every game (up to 40 mins in the last game).

youngest and only undrafted player to make canadas WJC, played in the top four ahead of recent 1st rounders (pysyk, oleksiak, baeulieu).

This is a couple rankings that has Murray at #2 now correct? He makes too much sense to draft there.

The Oilers have shown they like Western Canadian kids, the team has a desperate need for a two-way defenseman who has top pairing potential, and there are suggestions that on top of all of that he is legitimately the BPA at #2.

I'm really starting to lean that way as a fan who hasn't actually seen any of these guys play.

That is extremely impressive. I would just like a D-man who could potentially be drafted so high to have more offensive flair, more upside so to speak. But it is clear he knows how to play the position, and that's the most important thing I guess. I would definitely not be against them drafting Murray, just as long as he's BPA, with best potential.

After todays Central scouting rankings came out I would rather them keep #2 if awarded it and draft Murray. Murray should be able to step right into our top 4 next year filling one of the holes we have there.

If we slip to #3 because of another team below us winning the lottery than I might consider trading the pick for an established top 4 D if Murray gets taken 2nd.

I'm beginning to put the season behind me and waking up with a smile thinking about the draft. To tell you the truth I'm more worried about winning the draft lottery than losing it. Murray or Grigorenko is just about can't miss for me. A stud D or a big second line centre to anchor a stellar second line. I prefer Grigorenko but I'll be happy with either.

But if we win the lottery I think it will open up a whole lot of different issues. Trade down scenarios? Hall to centre and just take Yakupov? Deal the pick outright for a proven player or package? Intense envy and hatred from Calgary fans? Ok that last one would be pretty cool. lol

Excited about tomorrow.

You might be able to make a trade with Montreal and get some kind of asset. I think they will really want Grigorenko.

If we want Murray and Mtl REALLY want Grigorenko....we should trade down for an asset. It would be smart management.

If we pick first though, we still need to draft Yakupov. When was the last time there were three 1st overall forwards on one team (plus eberle). We would be a offensive powerhouse!

Looks like Galchenyuk's been packing on some muscles during his injury. If this kid wasn't injured, we'd be all over him right now.

It's true. This is why people need to go out and see prospects for themselves. I have a huge beef with CSS right now. I mean Maatta has looked average this year but starts to have a good playoffs and all of a sudden he is a top 10 pick? I would love to hear their reasoning behind some of these selections. It is definitely a lot different than mine.

He was heralded at the WJC as well. I didn't mind him, but I still don't understand what makes him better than Dumba, or even Reinhart.

As a side note, I really like Reinhart (albeit he is the one I have watched the most). I think with time and development, he will be a player.

Murray, Maatta and Faksa must be getting the playoff bump. I think Grigs and Murray are still a toss up though. I think they forgot about Foppa...weaksaurce.

Yakupov
Grigs/Murray
Galchenyuk
Forsberg/Rielley/Dumba
Faksa
Ceci/Trouba/Reinhart
Gaunce/Girgensons
Pouliot/Finn/Maatta
FRK
Koekkoek/Skjei
Vasilevski
Winther/Sissons/Matteau

would be my ranking
