It's not about his development. Do you think it's better for him to sit at home and play x box, or go to Hamilton and meet his future teammates while getting a taste of what he needs to do this summer to prepare for next season.
This is the first time I can remember in several years where the Habs didn't send a prospect to the AHL when their NCAA or CHL season ended.
He's been injured a couple of times this year (including a concussion), I would rather he rests up a bit then works on bulking up and improving his skating. Hanging around a bad Hamilton team is not great for developping a winning attitude.

He can do all of that from mid April till Sept. Two weeks with Hamilton wouldn't have hurt and could only help him get an idea of what he needs to do this summer to get ready for next year.

Don't see why he needs to spend 2 weeks in Hamilton (risking injury) to find out he needs to get bigger and faster. Not worth the risk of getting injured and screwing up his summer program.

He doesn't need to play he can just work out with his teammates. To me it's better to have him with the team so he can start to get to know some of his future teammates vs sitting at home. So when the Habs did this every year in the past, was it a bad idea then?

His future teammates are still playing junior, some of them are still in college, some of them will be in the Memorial Cup and some are with the Canadiens. Not too many are with Hamilton
According to the Maine Sports Network, Brian Dumoulin (BC) will sign with Carolina after the NCAA championship game
Opens a spot for Sullivan next year at BC next year, as tomorrow they go for their 3rd National Title since 2001.

Leblanc, Geoffrion, St-Denis, Palushaj, Nattinen, Berger, Lefebvre, Avtsin, Stejskal, Delmas, Mayer, Dumont, Schultz, plus others like Henry, Masse, Fortier, Mitera, Nash, could all be back next year. Not sure what your definition of too many is though.
Disappointed that Holland was unproductive without Shinnimin. As soon as he joined him on the PP, Holland started scoring again.
Well it's not really that disappointing considering he's projected as a 3rd/4th liner. As long as he's got the skating and defensive skill which are more important than his assists IMO.
With the return of Gionta next year, wouldn't Gallagher be jeopardized in starting his NHL career due to the overall size of the team. Gionta still has value I say send him somewhere with Weber and a third round pick for a tall left winger or a right winger.

I expect Gionta to be flipped at somepoint and Gorges to be named captain and Gallagher to be called up to replace him. either next deadline or next offseason depending on how Gallagher is doing in the A and also if the big club is in the playoff mix or not.
