I knew as soon as Bowen mentioned he was a forward most of his life, someone on here would suggest this. This team struggles on defence. Taking away one of our best and brightest doesnt help to fix that.
Gardiner said himself and has been said of, not to have ENOUGH offensive skill to play upfront. The way he plays offensively is perfect from where he plays as a D-man, his game doesnt translate to actually being a front-man.
You can be good offensively from one position but terribly in another. I think Left D positioning wise is his perfect spot
