I have relatives in Chicago and over the years I have become a Blackhawks fan. It's now to the point I'm probably as much a Hawks fan than a Leafs fan.
I was wondering who else had a back-up team they cheered for (or maybe the Leafs *are* your back up team). Anyone loyal only to the Blue and White?

Nope, it's Leafs or no one!
Hockey is over for me as soon as the Leafs haven't any more games!

I used to follow the Avalanche after the Leafs bowed out, as Sakic was my favorite player. Haven't since he retired though.

As long as both the Canucks and Sens lose I'll be happy.

Marlies. Otherwise it's usually the Habs, Bruins, Canucks. All to lose.

Only other hockey team I cheer for is the London Knights.
I'll always cheer for the Leafs rivals to lose.

No. I wish Leafs TV would buck up and play more Marlies games, especially during the playoffs.
I'll probably cheer on Nashville this run, but I have no real affinity for them and dont really care. I'll go to hell before I cheer for the Sens or Canucks.

I became a Devils fan in the 90's when I was around 10, mainly because of Scott Stevens, he was my Idol as a player.
Leafs are my back up team mainly because I was forced to watch them growing up by my family (my dad is a big leaf fan)

what's with the bandwagon comments? nothing wrong with being a hockey fan rather than just a Leafs fan.

I play NHL 12 online with the Sharks or Rangers if that counts. Other than that I don't really care about other teams.

I think of being a bandwagon fan as being the type who only wants to cheer for a team that's winning and turns their back when the team starts to lose. I agree that doing that sucks...but I don't think there's anything wrong with being a fan of more than one team. I didn't start liking the Hawks all of a sudden because they were getting good while the Leafs were getting bad...it was because of my relatives and the fact I just started following that team a lot more.
