-Not sure why our forwards were so passive tonight to pressure the point. Seemed much worse when Glass was on the ice. Not sure if that's coincidence or not.
-Speaking of Glass, him or Mach missed the guy in front of the net. Slater was already high and one of them should have had that guy on the 1st goal.

If the Jets win all four remaining games they have a good shot. Remember, this team beats the Sabres, Senators, Capitals, and Hurricanes in case of tie breaker in points.

Couldn't watch the game tonight, was out with a few buddies. Nice to see we didn't give up.

I hope Kane gets his 30th. To be honest, that's what I'm hoping for first and a Jets win second. I still think a higher draft pick would help this team the most for the future instead of floating in purgatory Aka not making the playoffs but picking mid round year after year.

So I missed the 2nd and most of the 3rd period. Just wondering, did Noel stick with the lines or did he juggle them at all?

Too little, too late but somewhat entertaining to watch. A more in depth analysis is totally unnecessary.

A bit late to the party, these early starts are messing with my routine.

I enjoyed watching the game, we never gave up, which is always something I like to see. Let's see if we can do the same tomorrow.

And never tell me the odds.

agreed, ps241. People jumped off the bandwagon when we got eliminated. This is a team poised to get better, next year we better make playoffs. This team worked their ass off, they simply did not have the talent. Next year will be different! Can't wait till the off-season!

It's not how high the draft pick is, though. It's who is picked, how the team manages the player once he's picked; just check with Detroit or Nashville. Mid and late round picks can be busts, sure, but it seems some teams do very well with mid to late picks.

Player management is at least as important as the pick itself, in my opinion. Alex Burmistrov, Zach Bogosian and Evander Kane were rushed into regular roles in Atlanta, yet who doesn't think that they all could've used some more seasoning on their junior team, or in the AHL?

As to the game - great heart shown by the Jets. Hopefully a harbinger of better things to come.

Hainsey was a beast, along with Machacek, who should have seen more ice time I thought. And Gigantro showed why he was missed - both he and Wellwood work so well together.

Wheeler, Enstrom, Little, Byfuglien all seem tired and worn out. Wheeler especially. It seems a few teams have figured out how to defend against the Jet PP - pressure the point men, especially Wheeler and Stapleton. If they have to hold onto the puck too long, eventually the points can be forced to turn the puck over.

Great game by Mason, and although he was out of position for the shortie, he made up for it by some other big saves and great communication with his D. Mason should've started ten or so more games, allowing Pavelec to stay rested.

I hope the Jets run the table, and win the next four games to end the season on a high note.

Classic John Belushi movie - Animal House. Worth seeing if you haven't had a chance. He's quite the, "character", in the movie.

Belushi is trying to rally his collage buddies to get revenge on a fellow fraternity and gives a speech where he says was it over when the Germans bombed pearl harbour

The part allot of people probably don't know is at the end of the movie when they are rolling the credits they are showing all the guys pictures and When it came to Belushi it was revealed he was "a history major"

Maybe some of the young guys took the oportunity go on a date before the playoffs start

I woke up this morning feeling kind of like a kid that is down to his last 4 days of summer vavation. The 0.58% chance of making the playoffs is like holding out the hope school gets cancelled somehow. But just like then you need to embrace these last few games and savour them. 6 months without a meaningful Jets game will seem pretty long.

heh, yep. I'm still holding out hope for a collapse on the part of Buffalo and Washington and the Jets running the table and pulling off a miracle.

In any event, I'm hoping for at least a couple more good games before the season ends.

Looks more likely every day, other guys are getting such praise that he could fall out of that top 6. Either that or we might end up in that top 6, who knows?

I'd like to see this as well, but it appears he's gone back to his single signature move from the start of the year of trying to chip the puck past the forward at the blue line and skate past to get the puck. Didn't work past the first five games, and still isn't working. He'll have a tough time until he tries to pass the puck moving up the ice.
