Yet, Blues fans havent changed their view in terms of Backes vs. Oshie being close and yet Backes still beats Callahan 2-1 in the poll.

Look at EJ vs. Shatty polls, those are still close for some reason. Shatty got defensemen of the week on NHL Network today and he is miles ahead of EJ but for some reason (And I think it's just because people know of EJ more than then know of Shatty) EJ gets tons more love here than Shatty.

Also there was a poll Backes vs. Koivu early in the season when the Wild were kicking butt and it was like 80% Koivu, 20% Backes. I think I will re-make that poll and see what people think now.

I think Oshie has the greater upside. He's had injuries losing him a lot of games, and hasn't been with two same linemates consistently at all. He's got better offensive skills, and plays a great all-around game. If he's healthy all next season, I think he'll score 65-70 points (even given Hitchcock's defensive system).

I think that Oshie will be the more valuable player in the long run. Right now it's pretty close (maybe Callahan has a slight edge, currently).
