Yeah I'm starting to dislike him more and more. I used to like him because he spoke well and seemed to make sense but the more and more I read his tweets on twitter the more I think he's a complete moron when it comes to hockey. Today he got in an argument with M-A Gondin when someone asked him who he'd pick first overall at the draft. He said he'd choose Galychenyuk because we need a big centre (um Grigo says hello? And what about Yakupov?) and M-A Gondin asked him if he was serious and they kinda got in a spat. Don't get me wrong Galchenyuk is a great pick but not at first or even second overall.

Anyway I can't respect anyone who supports Vincent Damphousse as the next GM and still thinks JM was a good coach for the Habs especially when the only reason to support those 2 ppl is because you're good friends with both.

I'm really not worried about Bourque too much. He's annoying and I'd rather have AK, but chances are AK will get a little more money than that. You guys wanted to get rid of Kostitsyn, well congrats, now we have a cheaper version. Still having a ~20 goal scorer for depth is a good thing if we can get real 2nd line wingers and a coach who can use more than one line offensively.

Chill Seeker wrote this in the GDT: "the yakopov derby or the 2070 (both teams have only missed playoffs together TWICE in NHL history -1920/1970"

How could you forget 2007 when the Leafs beat us in that wretched final game at the ACC? The Begin penalties. The 5-on-3. The Leafs then lost their playoff spot the next day to NYI after they beat NJ in a shootout (karma's a *****). Don Cherry almost cried on air. LOL

We both ended up missing the playoffs that year. Habs had 90 pts, Leafs 91.

If I remember, Bourque was placed with Plekanec and a filler. By then, RC had already converted Plekanec into a checking center.

A mix up with the lines might have helped too. AK was still around too, but limited to the 4th line with Gomez and a filler.
Maybe give Bourque a shot on the PP with DD/Cole or MaxPac to get him going. In any event, try things.

I'm not a fan of Bourque, never been. But I'm not really going to judge him on his performance here. Our team has been horrible under RC.
That's pretty much how I feel too.
Bourque will never be an all star, but I'm sure he's a hockey player.

Bourque may have gotten a goal, but $4.25 for 4 more years.... Dear god!!

Every move these baboons made was not bad it was an outright DISASTER!!!!
Actually, the cap hit is 3.33 million for the next 4 years, big difference.

Not every move was bad, there were many good ones. BUT the bad ones were significantly bad. Stop being so dramatic.

Habs fans ;

Complains Cunneyworth plays scrubs like Campoli and uses crap lines.

Complain when the team gets scored on.

Also complains when the team wins.

These boards are extremely depressing atm. I for one completely enjoys the coaching staff's incompetence. Tank on.

Jeez, I understanding it's Markov but some of you guys must relax. The fact he was in pain doesn't mean he's injured. Markov will play tomorrow btw.

I complained about Bourque in the GDT, and his goal doesn't change how I feel about his performance tonight and since he's joined the team.

That said, I'm ready to give him a chance next year, with a new coach, a new system and hopefully more offensive depth. The guy has proven he can score in the NHL, and if he can put up 20-20 or something similar--even though a lot of fans will complain about him because this type of player (inconsistent, talented but not enough to be a regular contributor) usually get a raw deal from fans--I'll be patient. He's the type of player that can help a team greatly. Offensive depth. Secondary scoring. The kind of player that is usually quite underrated.

But of course, that's only if he can find his game again.

We had Pouliot. Certainly no worse than Bourque, and way cheaper and younger.

Forget the hockey IQ's, the team is at the bottom of the barrell with these guys, can't get any worst, how soon can the two trades happen? hopefully before price runs of with 6 or 8 mill a yrs and really ****'s the team

thing is, at 8M, it would be lower than Vinny salary for the next few seasons...
